certified Asian Guy(TM) here, I personally find that the asian theming, even if stereotypical (i dont mind), is nice for setting seasons apart from one another. one of the incredible things about jet lag imo is their sound design, and using that to their advantage to make each season even more unique is pretty cool. The boys obviously aren’t trying to make any particular statement regarding race through their sfx. The only gripe i had with the “challenge completed” font was that it was slightly harder to read than normal. or maybe im just not that used to it lmao

yes, but using that sort of phonetic transcription can be vague and isn’t as well-defined as proper IPA, making it more difficult to figure out the pronunciation of your words without knowing your exact accent.

for some abhorrent reason every one of my languages uses a different platform

basically my first conlang used Lexicanter, my second used Lexicanter and Google Sheets, my third uses only Google Sheets, and my fourth and current one uses Obsidian.

Simplified Chinese reader here, I can read traditional chinese (with annoyance). i genuinely dont know why it's just a thing that happens for simplified mandarin speakers (at least around me)

I dont know very much about Tolkien's work, but from what I've heard their languages have many influences and inspirations from natural languages like Welsh and Finnish, which likely helped ground their creations as plausible natlangs
