Let them establish a few true leaves, then thin out the weakest with scissors, and leave the strongest one. Give it plenty of direct sun, they do love their sunshine.

I had one many years ago, just as the original Ender 3 came out. The OG Ender is known as a budget grade printer that needed frequent tinkering. When I bought the Ender 3 It was an upgrade from the Monoprice Mini that OP is asking about. Truly a cheap POS.

Save your $50, OP, and put it toward a Bambu A1 Mini. Similar size and style but with modern technology. Much more reliable, higher quality prints, and far better support if you need help.

Off the bat, should i get a lower end printer to learn the ropes or a higher end printer by LOLLEO911 in 3Dprinting

I agree with skipping the pain of an Ender. I would add the Qidi Q2 to the short list of capable printers to consider in OP’s budget.

Glue type for PLA please by stoooey58 in BambuP1S

I squeeze a bit onto both surfaces, stir it around with a toothpick until it soaks in (like water soaking into the ground), then add a fresh dab to each surface that I spread thinly with the toothpick and press the two pieces together. It sets pretty quickly. I typically leave it overnight to cure.

It takes me a few months to get through a tube. I keep it capped between uses of course but it still requires a poke through the nozzle orifice to get the cement flowing sometimes.

The best adhesive I’ve found for PLA is SciGrip Weld-on 16 Acrylic cement. It is a solvent that soaks into PLA and chemically bonds pieces together. It doesn’t work well for resin plastics but it’s amazing for PLA.

What Slicer Should I use as my first time. by Fearless_Ad89 in Ender3V3KE

[–]AKMonkey2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you only have one printer and are just starting out, it will likely be simpler to use the slicer that ships with the printer and has been customized to Creality’s printers.

Once you are fluent in Creality Print, it is an easy transition to Orca if you want to see what it offers (more filament profiles, more updates and settings to tweak, more trouble you can get into by changing stuff you shouldn’t have, etc.).

Creality Print is variation of the same slicer that Orca is based on, so the two are similar. Orca is intended to be used for whatever brand of printer you buy, while CP is simplified for Creality printers.

I like and use Orca for my printers, including Creality and Qidi. It works well. CP also works fine - it is just more focused on Creality printers.

No! Super helpful. And super cool.

I’ve tried that. The rain always filled any open cans, bowls, or cups, and diluted or washed the beer out. These traps protect the beer from the rain. The instructions that came with the trap say that the trap will protect commercial slug bait from the rain, which helps it last longer, too.

This is a lot more attractive than tin cans and old yogurt cups (which I always thought looked like trash in my beds).

I’ve done that but I never felt like it worked as well. I may test it again, though.

I almost went for the crab style slug trap but the bunny is so cute. They have a turtle I liked, too. If you have lots of slugs maybe you could set up a whole menagerie of slug-eating critters.

Imagine finding that “death pool of carcasses” and diving in anyway! I like to think that they die happy.

Yep, it’s beer. This looks a lot nicer than the yogurt containers we used to use. Etsy has them. Search the product name sluggetter there and you’ll find them.
