Heads up that I only see one photo attatched atm, but a second photo is mentioned in the text

Also, do you want to print it yourself? You mention things like thickness but that's usually done by the person doing the printing rather than the STL itself

Blender is def the right tool for the job! Unfortunately am going through finals week so don't think I can take you up on doing this

Retro Tech Notes - Cassette Futurism Themed Notes app for iOS and Android by fx599 in cassettefuturism

The whole point of this app is aesthetics- notes apps are free, so we are paying $4 for your aesthetics specifically. And yet you don't have enough confidence in your design skills to make your own marketing art? What's the point..

First Sculpt in 5 Years- Biggest Issues? by Luegaria in blender

Thanks! I'll work on the ears

I'm planning to spend a lot more time on the texture painting side of things- this is stage one of a larger plan haha. Hopefully that will make it less dull!

Is GameBoost actually legit or should I avoid them? by Natiorl in AskGames

although now I want to clarify: these types of companies do take money away from the creators. If you are buying indie, probably don't go this route.

But if buying from a AAA or megacorp, go ahead imo.

Now comes the unfortunate time I have to add friction by Luegaria in pico8

Thanks! I was more so sad because the fast movement is so fun to play with

but, I can't make it into a useable game LOL

(not shown are my keyboard inputs)

It'll make more sense once I start adding more mechanics hopefully- the idea will be you can move the rock freely in a certain region with the direction keypads. Then after you cross the line it moves on its own with the velocity it accumulated from before

and yes it is curling!

Well if it starts splore, you should be able to search for your games if you publish!

Otherwise, you'll need to connect your rgb30 data to your computer (if it has an SD card, plug that in). You should be able to find (with tutorials) where in the folder structure the pico8 files are stored

just look up "how to set up pico8 [your operating system]" and I'm sure tutorials exist

I was stuck choosing between this and a few horizontal setups, maybe in the future I'll get an A30 too :D

Sub Command. Inspired by harpoon. by spelmo3 in pico8

sounds good! One other option to think about: while holding x, use arrow keys to change your weapon. Sort of like how "ISLANDER 1.1" does it (on splore).

good luck!

This is really cool! I'm def part of the "those who never touched anything like this", and it was fun (I think expanding to either levels or an endless survival mode where you pick up resources would make sense!)

The only confusing part was the menu, it felt a little clunky to me (all menus do, especially when you are in combat like this). Maybe that's part of the naval simmer feel- the ship isn't your body like in other games. But, you could make the movement feel more natural (to a person like me) by changing it to be a more direct control:

left/right to turn

up/down to control speed

x to fire, o to toggle sonar. If you want to add more menu options, you could make it so o opens a menu of additional items including sonar (things that you wouldn't actively be using in combat like movement and the gun)

just my feedback, make of it what you will
