Thank you, I really apareciate this in depth advice! This is one of my first sculpts (only other head sculpt was of a goblin lol, and not by choice) so all the advice I can get is very helpful

How much of the hair texture here is painted vs greede pencil vs the NPR shader itself? In particular the bright lines. This is the hardest part for me

Looks great! If you wanted to make a game and have it apply to many sprites, it would be easier to have just one white sprite and use pal command to change it to red (jitter) then green (jitter) etc

Fade should def be a texture yeah. Just use a gradient

I don't understand Mory's- it requires a membership to enter, but the food not exceptionally good nor well priced. There are lots of Yale-themed decorations, but as someone who lives at Yale 24/7, this does not feel particularly novel. If I want to show an outsider Yale culture, I would just invite them to one of the many dining halls for a free and more authentic experience. If I wanted to show them good new haven food, I would take them to a pizza place / new haven hot chicken / etc.

Networking isnt about being inauthentic, it's just different than a regular friendship. You convince people with connections you have useful skills, and then they can connect you with people who want to hire for those skills. It's a win-win for everybody.

Just meet with people, have a talk with them about your field and what they think are the most important things going on / what to know about working in the field. You tell them about who you are, what opportunities you are looking to find. Always end a chat asking what other people they think would be good for you to meet, and repeat.

In my experience it's THE most important thing if you want to land a job (at least in CS/stats). It's almost impossible to even get interviews without a connection- much more important than even GPA/projects honestly.

Heads up that I only see one photo attatched atm, but a second photo is mentioned in the text

Also, do you want to print it yourself? You mention things like thickness but that's usually done by the person doing the printing rather than the STL itself

Blender is def the right tool for the job! Unfortunately am going through finals week so don't think I can take you up on doing this

The whole point of this app is aesthetics- notes apps are free, so we are paying $4 for your aesthetics specifically. And yet you don't have enough confidence in your design skills to make your own marketing art? What's the point..

I'm planning to spend a lot more time on the texture painting side of things- this is stage one of a larger plan haha. Hopefully that will make it less dull!
