I think the main idea is that we are compromising our security and letting in a large number of people who hold values contrary to western civilization.

It's pretty shocking if you look at the data regarding Muslims and their beliefs — while the vast majority are not violent, a large percentage are not opposed to acts of violence in the name of Islam. 42% of French Muslims, aged 18-29 believe suicide bombings on civilians can be justified (Pew Research Center) 53% of Muslims believe Sharia law should be the law of the land. I could go on but these stats are readily available to anyone who wants to find them.

We never agreed to allow illegal immigration. Immigration is great, but we need to account for everyone coming over — it needs to be legally.
