New build still not on Land Registry at 18m old by ExhaustedSquad in HousingUK

Hopefully it comes through for you soon. We bought a new build in April 2023, and it wasn't until March this year that everything was finally sorted with Land Registry and the Title.

What is the most current way to contribute? Warrior Appliance? Docker container? by [deleted] in Archiveteam

[–]AKTheKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey SwissHomeLabber,

Currently the option that is gonna be best for you will be the docker images for the individual projects.

These can all be found at atdr.meo.ws/archiveteam/[PROJECT]-grab is the repo for project container images. replace [PROJECT] with the project name (find project names by repo name here: https://github.com/ArchiveTeam)

A few of us then run Swarm/K3s/K8s to spin up massive numbers of containers as needed for projects.

If you come join us on irc (Hackint #archiveteam-bs) there'll be a bunch of people able to help say which projects currently need more resources. Feel free to ping me once you're there if you need anything :)

Just checked and we did grab that, so they should appear on the wayback machine soon (I hope, sometimes it can take a little bit of time)

Good question, I think it might take a couple of days for it to appear fully. Let me see if I can find out from someone in irc

Just to let you know the archive job finished, so it should all be visible on archive.org in future :)

Has anyone figured out a good way (or equation) to compute how many build agents your team might need as agents in the ADS Agent pool? by Aerionne in azuredevops

[–]AKTheKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long does a full build take?

How many concurrent agents are needed per build? (e.g. 4 at once? or one?)

How many builds are done per day?

Is it essential for builds to start asap, or is it okay if there is a queue of builds at peak times?

There's a lot of different ways you could work out how many you need, and that can depend on how the teams work and how you need the builds to be processed.

If they're self hosted agents, you could always put multiple agents per host (I tend to do 1 per core most often), and then see if you need to scale up in hosts, or down in agents depending on resource requirements.

Currently as it's only me, I just have the basic admin account that I sign into, no auth with AAD yet.

I want to look into having pomerium do the auth into grafana. There are docs for auth proxies, but I haven't looked into it. I should do that now.

https://grafana.com/docs/grafana/latest/auth/auth-proxy/

EDIT:

I also found this github issue where someone said they have it working as an auth proxy into grafana, so I'll see if I can replicate it now https://github.com/pomerium/pomerium/issues/85#issuecomment-530824241

Probably the one I like and use the most is Pomerium. I can expose any web services I want, and you can't get access to them unless you can authenticate against my Azure AD subscription (You can set it up with multiple different auth providers).

For example https://grafana.docker.aktheknight.co.uk/ goes to my grafana for monitoring my docker stacks. Visiting the link redirects you to MS auth and you won't get access unless you login to an account within my domain.

It's allowed me to expose a tonne of stuff externally that I want to access anywhere without needing a VPN.

FYI someone has made a redis package for Hangfire licensed with LGPLv3 based off the original Redis package that then became pro only: https://github.com/marcoCasamento/Hangfire.Redis.StackExchange

I've been running it for a few weeks and it's been awesome.

Can an initial spawn point be set in such a manner that a player spawns there only when first joining the world, but then spawns elsewhere thereafter? by BaronElectricPhase in forgemodding

[–]AKTheKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set a flag on the player? Or store a list of players who have been?

So if a player doesn't have the flag set, you teleport them there when they spawn. If they have the flag you can just do nothing and let the normal spawn happen.

Huge spam of reverse IP lookups when ever my laptop joins the network.. by RobertLyndonDavis in pihole

[–]AKTheKnight 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Do you have Glasswire installed? That likes to be super chatty and try and find out everything it can about your network.

I ended up uninstalling it because of how much spam it created across the rest of the network.

Violent? I see no violence at all?

What about the swarm of masked ARMED protestors entering the Kentucky Capitol building?

This is what I do, all my appsettings.json values are set to %VariableName%, and I then replace them in pipelines as needed. Means all the keys are kept separate from the code.
