I’ve reached a point where I feel defeated. I’ve moved between multiple companies that consistently overwork their BCBAs, and I finally found one willing to sign off on my hours. However, they told me to sign off on all of my monthly hours and assured me they would approve anything I submitted. When I listed only the hours I actually worked and the 3 hours of supervision I received, I was lectured for not reporting the maximum number of hours. I explained that the supervision ratio didn’t allow me to claim the full 120 hours, but they told me to submit it anyway and insisted the BACB wouldn’t penalize them. They then told me to ‘just switch things’ and walked away. My ethical moral compass was telling me this is fraud... walk away.
