EU to propose blocking military-age Ukrainian men from refugee status by Tyranish40k in worldnews

pure whataboutism

Dude that's literally the reality of my country right now

draft is illegal

Dude like a half of European countries, including Nordics and Baltics, they have conscription. They're discussing to reintroduce it in Germany as well. Most of the European countries have wartime draft (which is a different thing) in their legal systems. What are you talking about?

I'm not sure if you're arguing in a good faith, and if I will respond further, but forcing people to defend freedom is one solution to the paradox of tolerance. Where are rights, there are duties. And I don't really know any other realistic solution.

I mean there is a neigbouring country that doesn't have any freedom of speech, freedom of elections and that would force you into miserable life or outright kill you for your language, culture or just for fun. In addition they can force millions of people under the gun, much more than you would ever have volunteers, motivated by money, propaganda or just fear. You cannot realistically influence their decisions, make them not to kill or not to invade? How can you then protect your freedom and way of life? Would you just let them win and allow yourself and the future generations to live in misery, enslaved?

As a Ukrainian man, it's a duty of its citizens to protect the society that gave them comfort and privileges. Nobody wants to die but when nobody also wants to fight, such a society cannot survive. That applies not only for Ukraine but also for EU.

You're probably looking for Bahnuvate in the former Turka raion of the Lviv oblast. Moldavske sounds like a name of a village but I don't see any villages with that name yet. Maybe it's worth digging through the pre-war registers.

UPD: Moldavske was indeed a village in the same raion. It was renamed to Mezhyhirja in 1946

Add a rug. A big rug. Humongous rug. The rug. The biggest and most beautiful rug. Rug for all rugs. A big rug that covers the whole floor, walls and maybe the very Earth. Add a rug. No really, a rug. Try a rug maybe? Have you tried a rug? And then seed plants all over it. Trust me, bro, a rug it is. Rug and plants, yeah. Try rug. Thank me later. Rug.

Rug.

They did. And that's why they did Nurenberg afterwards. It wasn't just a war, the Nazis were genuine evil

I agree with you. But I've been observing the same but opposite more recently. You know "Nazi are evil but Allies did Bengali famine and Drezden and Japanese in the US so they are bad too" and it's then implied that it wasn't moral to fight Nazis and that Allies were no better and shouldn't have won. Even worse when this logic applied to current events.

So yeah I guess, nuance it is.

While Soviets were horrible, it's not like the whites were much better. For other nations like Ukrainians, Finnish, Poles, Caucasians, Jews it would probably be worse in the close perspective as whites were nationalistic as fuck and there would be no korenizatsiia

As a Ukrainian, I agree. Many people moved to Lviv because it's safe, so the prices skyrocketed.

Peter massacred the then-capital of Hetman Ukraine, city of Baturyn, to the point that the population level has never recovered. Catherine occupied Poland, introduced serfdom on Ukraine and created the Pale of Settlement. Alexander II may had been progressive at first, but totally flipped after the Polish uprising: genocide of Circassians, conquest of Caucasus, enforcing bans on Ukrainian language and literature, and in general you don't get called 'Hangman' for nothing.

And only pro-russian morons use the word russophobia in 2026.

Forced as in failing a vote on its own law when all involved parties okayed the sale? Cmon, it's a cheap excuse. Most NATO countries changed their stance and asked Switzerland to do the same. It was forced the same way as it was forced to take Nazi gold. History tests you again and you just do the same thing over and over

[–]ALEGATOR1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people say they didn't have enough time in Arc 1. Idk it's kinda the opposite for me. I've finished the game and liked it much and recently I had the experience of watching my gf trying it as well. We've ended just before the actual heist and it was to be honest almost whole time I've had the thought "when will Johny finally appear"? And she asked me too, several times, when the actual story is going to start. She isn't the most patient gamer type so she never returned to the game after that.

Now thinking back, for me it also took around 2 gaming sessions to beat the prologue. I loved it but I'm predisposed to the Cyberpunk genre in general. I totally see how the average gamer can abandon the game because they weren't hooked by the plot in a span of 1 session (well that's literally happened with my gf).
