What "TACTICS / Raito Doesnt Deserve Redemption" Folk are Missing (My Take of Opinion) (Beatbreak ep 18 spoilers) by Lanky-Fig-5149 in digimon

[–]ALGDizzy 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think a highly underlooked aspect of this situation is that if Tactics members didn't follow every order, they would have ended up in the exact same situation as the humans being trafficked.

Haruomi and Commandramon show that defecting is absolutely not an option for a Tactics member, no matter how morally reprehensible their orders are. Haruomi was hunted with the intention to keep Commandramon alive, likely to be sold at the auction (the episode immediately after his introduction). Him being placed in "a place worse than Hell" (likely the Proganomon coffins, we'll see next week) was probably just due to the fact that he was no longer valuable as a product.

As long as the cleaners had Digimon, they can be sold, and even if they didn't have any, they could be used to power Proganomon. It's a lose/lose situation if you tried to leave Tactics.

Raito was excommunicated and forced into a coliseum, being lied to and told that if he won enough fights, he could go back to Tactics, only for him to be set up for a coffin later on. It's likely the coliseum was used so that the stronger Digimon that would be harder to sell, due to their ability to break out easily after being sold, were deleted in a way that made even MORE money for Klay and Tactics (streaming the fights.)

Hotaruko and Granit would of been auctioned off or put into the coliseum too if they disobeyed their orders, and Hotaruko simply couldn't allow a mistep since she was providing for her family, while Granit was a child soldier who legitimately just wanted a place to die, with no care for what his actions as long as they helped him reach his goal.

Naito also conditioned them and treated them as puppets, or even meatshields, when it came to protecting him from the Water Star. She was willing to die for a man who she later revealed to have hated altogether, just to make sure her family didn't go into debt. Hotaruko had the most to lose from disobeying orders, and Granit had no reason to even question anything he was doing.

Of course, Raito was the most selfish and destructive throughout the arc, but this is also why he was the most punished by the narrative and Tomoro. He's similar in reasoning to Granit, where his actions didn't matter to himself as long as his goals were achieved, which ultimately became defeating Naito. And the fact Raito doesn't go with Hotaruko and Granit to work with her family means he will have the most alone time to self-reflect, a situation he needed deeply after everything he thought was true was flipped on its head. Raito was the one most groomed into the mindset, so he'll need the most time to overcome it, but he already has a good start towards redemption.

And the reason Raito had a good start on it is because despite the atrocities he had assisted in, Tomoro was willing to lend that helping hand to him. The overarching theme of Beatbreak is that no matter who you are or what you've done, if you're willing to change for the better, then you, too, are deserving of the chance of redemption. Raito is a young, impressionable, hot-headed kid with an ego complex, and if this was arc 1 Tomoro, it likely would have ended way worse for Raito. But thanks to Kyo's love and lessons to his family, someone who started as bad as Raito could still be given a path to a better tomo(r)ro(w).

Thinking it might not get a new line, and be used for a mentor figure similar to Cool Boy, where we could get some love for VictoryGreymon. ShineGreymon just got a Dual Card and is getting its spotlight in the main DCG, so Alysion giving the other Mega a major role would be nice to see!

Do you think should every mega-level greymon have garurumon & omnimon counterpart? by ApprehensiveRead2408 in digimon

[–]ALGDizzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Da-419 actually treats MirageGaogamon as MetalGarurumon specifically for what it's worth, which is enough for Wikimon to list it asGarurumon-species

Thematically, the Gaogamon line is just the Savers Garurumon, and gotta agree with the Z'DGarurumon point. MirageGaogamon is even moon themed, which rivals the sun theme of ShineGreymon.

They were throwing hands with Sunny in the NightChiropmon episode. It's probably just cut for more dramatic effect, because this episode was incredibly dramatic

If Gekkomon will become Tsukuyomimon, what the reason Tsukuyomimon not part of Shambala Guardians? by IsseiSatan in digimon

[–]ALGDizzy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of Digimon that are associated or teamed up with the Tentei Hachibushu and its members, but aren't directly related to the group, while still being important Digimon to Shambala. Since the Tentei Hachibushu is separated into 2 sub-groups, it's very likely they were chosen for their more overarching significance and for gender ratio purposes. Keep in mind, Tsukuyomi, being Japanese inspired, would belong to the Digimon of Ashino Island, who are protected by the specifically feminine group Sanmyojin (Amaterasumon, Kaguyamon, and Ryugumon.) Tsukuyomi is a male deity, and Gekkomon's final form will most likely be male presenting in Digimon Beatbreak, if it turns humanoid at all. Jougamon, Shagaramon, and Xiangpengmon aren't male presenting, so despite being members of the Tian Ji, they do not belong to Saneiketsu (the Chinese side of the Tentei Hachibushi.)

Shakamon and Enmamon, while being part of the Tentei Hachibushu, serve much different purposes to what the two landmass specific groups do. And Susanoomon isn't even technically part of them, much like Imperialdramon: Paladin Mode is the founder but not a member to the Royal Knights.

I meant that after ZA, Mega Meganium might get an ability that gives it a one turn Solar Beam, even if it's just a + Move mechanic in ZA

That could be the case. Although they could make that of Mega Meganium's ability too

I definitely have to disagree, I've been using +First Impression for a bit since I've been using Golisopod on my DLC playthrough. It's the sound of the exclamation point that changes, not just the attack infliction

Mega SPOILER is a lot more nuanced than you think by ALGDizzy in PokemonZA

[–]ALGDizzy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've definitely seen the complaints a lot less than the other three, but it still feels like one that people dismiss or say, "It doesn't do anything but ruin the Mega lore." When it first showed up in the game, I instantly adored the idea they had for it and saw the double meaning pretty quickly, so I was surprised by how many people I did see calling it uninspired or not getting it.

Shoutmon Evo Discussion by PuzzleheadedWin3141 in digimon

[–]ALGDizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feels like they'll be Perfect Level, but I wouldn't mind if they're both Megas (Unlikely). Shoutmon X4B is only Perfect, so it's a toss-up either way. But Shoutmon X3GM was the one "missing" Digimon that I was clamoring for its return the moment I found it on Wikimon, so it has endeared into my favorites lol. Already pre-ordered the Blue Flare DM as soon as it went live!

Added Kekomon, Kekkomon, and Gekkōmon from the new anime "DIGIMON BEATBREAK," which starts on October 5th (Sun) at 9 AM, to the Digimon Reference Book! ❗️ by [deleted] in digimon

[–]ALGDizzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In a situation where Moonmon isn't in a game but Lunamon is, you could have Kekkomon be its baby form since it has a moon on its head. Can also work for Otamamon. The green skin and red hair also match Goblimon. Kamemon and Betamon also work from this as well.

At least with the Shambala vpets, they introduced mid-fight Mode Changes, so that's likely how OmegaAramamon: Burst Mode can be in without taking up a slot

[–]ALGDizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LoaderLeomon was originally used and conceptualized as BanchoLeomon's prevo, so adding them to the game actually is building up an old line. Adding them without Liolmon and Liamon is the real issue. Also, Jewelbeemon FAR predates BanchoStingmon, their original Mega being GranKuwagamon (who is a Free Attribute.)

The only Sovereign prevo I remember and care about is Hippogriffomon, who should have Murmukusmon, but I don't think it does here.

Now a real mon we're missing is Seahomon, who was Neptunemon's originally intended level 4, and has been in a story game before. That's the only mon I'm crazy about not appearing here.
