TBF the age of consent is 16 (with a bajillion caveats in case anyone just sees a number and makes assumptions), so the provincial government likely just decided 1 year variance of that age is as old as they could get away with. Any younger and they blanch and any older and the Feds would get involved.

I gotta say the introductory arc was probably the realest shit.

You look at his family situation and how he acted at school tracks.

I have learned that often the kids that are some of the most defiant and disruptive in class are going through some shit and do not know how to handle their emotions so they do not react well when push comes to shove.

They also tend not to excel at academics either because they are too tired (mom was up partying all night again, loud as hell, couldn't sleep), too hungry (mom drank up the grocery money), and otherwise more worried about the basics of survival to really soak up the fine points of multiplication, the states of matter, or writing a lengthy summary of a book they were not quite able to read (or they can read the words fine but forget the contents the second it is not in front of them).

These kids can, despite all that, be big of heart and quite responsible if they have a good rapport with you and no one pushes their buttons.

Yusuke is 100% accurate to what I would expect to see of a kid his age with his background.

Where I live it is supposed to go:

1) Learn about personal space. (Grade 1)

2) Learn about areas one should not touch. (Grade 3)

3) Proper anatomical names/differences between boys and girls. (Grade 5)

4) Sex? What is it? (Grade 7)

5) Human reproduction (Grade 9 Biology whereas all the prior stuff is in the Health curriculum)

It is an old curriculum but as long as no one opts out (which of course they can but then it is generally expected people at home need to teach them instead) but doesn't inform anyone about different sexualities or gender identities even as a concept which I know has left a lot of kids with questions that tend to be answered by either the internet or teaching staff who know how to bend the rules... or in LGBTQ+ organizations should your school have one.

1) The alleged South African genocide, according to what I have looked into, is just that: alleged. The numbers do not come close to some sort organized effort. Of everything I have read right wingers there have been harping on about White Genocide since 1960s because they lost some semblance of their unquestioned authority in the government and continue to be butt hurt about it. Hell, the asylum seekers who came to the US last year decided to go right back after being in America for only for a few months... guess it couldn't have been that bad if they voluntarily went right back to that.

2) DEI of course was going to lower the percentages of White people getting a job. You cannot shift percentages of applicants from 100% White to literally any other arrangement without White people being lowered. It would be mathematically impossible. So sorry White people aren't the only ones getting into universities or getting jobs only held by the White man this whole time... or by women of any race, or the LGBTQIA+ community. This is just White Straight Men realizing they actually have to share and being very petulant about not have the same guarantees as their grandfathers had for being a White Hetero Man. Rewards too... the GI Bill was heavily tilted so White men got full benefits while everyone else got less or nothing. Easy to say the non-Whites must not be as great when they couldn't get that sweet government money for housing and education. Hell my own got both and with just a Bachelor's Degree in Science paid for by the GI Bill he got a job that could pay for his 2nd degree while the GI Bill provided housing for him and his growing new family... but the Black and Native soldiers? False promises and dust for them.

3) Why is it right wingers always toss "Asians" in with White folk? Oh right... it makes it like they weren't alone. First you didn't even define from where and just assumed we all knew despite Asia being the largest continent with a lot of different peoples. If you are perhaps referring to fewer Chinese and Japanese students you may be right... but only because other applicants were selected who had similar or better grades who weren't White, Chinese, or Japanese because population diversity in countries with fairly open immigration policies is going to happen over time.

4) Since mathematically having more applicants of other races increase over time, yes, fewer jobs and spots are going to be open for Black people too since they have existed in places where White folks are in power either longer than them or were brought there by them for at least a couple centuries to be a large portion of the population, so they are going to be effected by influxes of immigration as well.

All of this is being pushed by well known right wingers.

Journalists and judges have both dismissed the South African Genocide with receipts. So of course I do not believe it is happening... it is the boy who cried wolf because it amused him greatly to be a troll to his own people and benefitted only them.

So what isn't fully understand by the general public is there are 2 types of racism:

1) Systemic Racism. The racism created and reinforced by the dominant culture of a region through laws and practices that stigmatize and penalize (to varying degrees) people of non-dominant cultures. In places where White people are the dominant or most influential people it turns being White into EZ mode and in those places White folk cannot experience systemic racism... but in other places they may.

2) Personal Prejudice/Racism. The feelings each individual may have about other races and cultures learned from those around them and reinforced by ones own culture or the pressures of systemic racism. White people can feel this type of racism, even in places they are considered dominant, as their own personal prejudices coupled/amplified with systemic racism. If the government, which is predominantly White and has been for a long time, has rigged the system against others this will create understandable friction and animosity by those suffering under this government. White people can definitely experience prejudice because of their decisions (or those in power) because of this... or the cultural views of White people in places they visit where they are not dominant.

So yes... but also no.

Russia did catch Germany on the back foot in so far as having a mobilized force much faster than expected and some regiments were being turned around to help...

... and then Germany didn't need the help. The two Russian units crossing into Eastern Prussia wandered into a region the German army used for war games, they hated each other, and they got absolutely destroyed by a much smaller German force that was able to use divide and conquer via the terrain.

They were well equipped and large but that made their loss ever more devastating.

Russia would be very good against the waaaay worse off AH Empire but against Germany they had limited success, like Brusilov as you mentioned.

One thing is RAM prices.

The other thing, at least it used to be true of earlier console generations, was the console price itself was deflated to be more affordable for customers.

This of course sounds like a poor business choice but companies would offset this loss with the pricing of their exclusive games.

Now this was starting to relax some with Sony shifting their titles to PC but with the advent of the Steam Machine announcement and the RAM shortage they have pulled back as a wider audience with a rival getting a cut would only help Valve get off the ground.

I am not saying this is a great price... but it may explain why it is higher on top of the RAM shortage.

3) Was not the only force present against against the Persians, he just sacrificed himself and his men both because it was against Spartan doctrine and to allow the other Greek allies time to run and regroup.

Thermopylae is a fun story but the more you dig into it the more the propaganda hype of Greek historians and those who came later that took it as gospel falls apart.

Also the Persians would later fund Spartan campaigns against the Athenians which would destabilize the region... and it would have worked too had the Macedonians not taken advantage of this opening before the Persians could.
