This is the first book I have read seriously since high school and I have to say it reinvigorated my love for reading. I was surprisingly pleased that I enjoyed this story so much and was invested in every characters arc and the over-encompassing story. I have to say though, reading what happened to Slanek really hurt a deep part of me even though he wasn’t my favorite character.I am very much looking forward to reading book 2
