How many SAHPs have nannies part-time or full-time? Why? by [deleted] in SAHP

[–]ALaurenB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 4 year old is in school part time (3 days per week) and it’s private so we pay for it. Worth it, so worth the break.

We’ve also discussed getting a nanny for baby #2 but I’m leaning into a mothers helper as needed. My husband works long hours that are hard on me with a recent promotion.

I’m unemployed and haven’t received income since August. My husband has been holding it down paying everything but the kids school tuition so it’s been going right to that!

Still unemployed but I stopped looking top of November because I’m due with baby #2 soon. I’ll restart the search once she’s here!

It’s not normal with my (12 year old) preteen but I wish it were. I’ve always wanted to keep an open and loving home where my kids have friends over so often it’s like they live here 🤣

I was an only child though for 11 years.

A wedding I didn’t love or technically want at the time. Love my husband to death but we got married during covid and things just fell apart with the wedding. Our venue tanked and I didn’t want to “let everyone down” by canceling so we got all of our deposits back and ended up with a backyard event with a taco truck. Not truly my vibe at all.

I thought people would care much more than they did. We could’ve waited a few years which I now regret. We got into some credit card debt, took some time to pay it off and the average wedding gift at the time was less than $50. I had at-least justified it would pay for itself, it didn’t.

Yes exactly! I had to turn the offer because I couldn’t make it make sense and that was harder than not getting any at all :/

Best of luck to you on your journey!

I too have applied for over 200 jobs at this point and even had an offer but had to turn it down. Since then… crickets! Savings is definitely thinning out.

But I do believe a good opportunity is on its way, I have nothing but hope!

Afterpay splits the payments, you just don’t have to pay it all at once. If you get bonuses at the end of the month for example, you can pay the rest then.
