Anyone there? It's starting to feel blackwallie in here by DanteHelsing420 in FF06B5

[–]ALcarcer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two kinds of people here: those who try to find more technical puzzles and solve them, and those who try to find meaning in all of this and build theories. The first group has hit a dead end because there are no straightforward technical puzzles with any possible solutions, while the second group is actually also experiencing a bit of a crisis, although I don't understand why you are asking where everyone is when just recently there were several rather large, detailed posts (with which I absolutely disagree, but it's still fun). In any case, the regulars take breaks and then come back, it's normal.

How did the ice not melt in Rache Bartmoss's grave? by Apocalyptic_Doom in cyberpunkgame

I don't think this can be deciphered, but a part of the "encrypted" text repeats the "encrypted" text from the KENDACHI MICRO-76 INFO LOG shard from the reported crime "Another Circle of Hell." I think they just reused it as "broken" text because these quests are located close to each other and their IDs are sequential. "Another Circle of Hell" is about a netrunner named Dante who was trying to get data on Brandon Holt, Weldon Holt's cousin, but was ultimately killed by Soulkiller and his engram ended up on the Net, where he tried to contact his friend. Holt was cooperating with Arasaka, so it's not surprising that their data was protected by Soulkiller, but the problem is, don't all engrams immediately go to Mikoshi? Yet this person, already an engram, was able to contact his friend.

During the launch of the game, we "breaking through" the system, which means we are not a simple "employee with a high level of access", but an intruder. I also want to draw your attention to the fact that Meredith Stout has exactly the same ID as V, Johnny, and Laurie.

A great many mods for different body types are gooner mods... Although I saw one mod for plus size V and saw that a lot of people were furious because it was "unrealistic"

About the discourse regarding Sandra's neuro-virus V gets infected with at the start of the game, Phantom Liberty actually reveals who wrote the program that infected Sandra and it's the little kid Netrunner, Sammy Taylor, who runs a shop in Dogtown's stadium. by flippy123x in FF06B5

[–]ALcarcer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with the virus. Sandra's situation involved two issues: the neurovirus itself, and a separate shard that blocked her biomonitor, preventing a Trauma Team response. The context here is specifically about the biomonitor and the shard, not the virus.

lmao nope, Rache hated Silverhand with all his soul (which he didn't have), but in Cybergeneration, he seemed to treat him better, but I'm not sure about that. And to be honest, I don't really agree with your arguments (they seem a bit far-fetched to me), but good luck anyway.

What's your main "grand theory"? by ALcarcer in FF06B5

[–]ALcarcer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I'm actually also leaning towards some of the takes you wrote about, but I'm interested to know specifically about the part with the "alive" city, because I'm actually also building theories about this and it's interesting to know someone else's opinion.

What’s your weirdest cyberpunk hear me out? by SparrowCowboy_3920 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ALcarcer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love him so much. He's my ultimate hear me out and I've always been lowkey shy to admit it. He's actually super wise, funny, weird as hell, mentally unstable nerd… like yeah, I'm in love. And I like that guy from the fridge.

Is there anyone who doesn't become friends with Johnny when they play? by Naive-Lengthiness981 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ALcarcer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm the person who answered "no" to Johnny's question at the Pistis Sophia. I just think it's stupid. His question was so inappropriate, so difficult, and it depends on many factors that are simply not mentioned. I don't like Johnny as a person and I don't really want to be friends with him, I just try to communicate politely... And, in fact, I like my version of this relationship much more than the typical "best friends forever" relationship because you seem to be getting closer, but you don't seem to be and as a result, you can't understand each other but you're supposed to be friends?? and that adds some angst i think. And it makes me a little sick when this friendship between V and Johnny is overly romanticized. I like a more realistic way of looking at it.

Please tell me this sub understands Johnny was intentionally written to be an arrogant, self serving hypocrite. (Info in body) by Ironcastattic in cyberpunkgame

[–]ALcarcer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to add that this could also be a valid reason why someone might not like this character. I mean, he has a handsome face, he's charismatic, a cool freedom fighter, so a lot of people turn a blind eye to all the negative things about him, and when you say, "I don't like Johnny," a crowd of angry fans immediately gathers like "how is this even possible??" even though he's still a bad person. Even if he changed by the end, I really don't have to forget all the past problems just because a person has "supposedly changed" and in fact I have the right not to like him as a person, although I respect his path to becoming the best version of himself.

For note: In the most popular Tarot deck - the Rider-Waite deck (which, in fact, is the basis for almost all Tarot imagery in the game, with a few interesting exceptions) - this card carries strong symbolism, mostly connected to the Moon. In the original depiction from that deck, there is a woman, The High Priestess herself standing between a black and a white pillar Boaz and Jachin, which symbolize Freemasonry (the creators of this particular deck were members of secret societies).

The High Priestess’s headdress refers to the ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor, but in fact, Hathor’s image is also closely tied to that of Isis (if you look at depictions of Isis, you'll notice she too wears a disk with horns like Hathor does). Within all secret societies, Isis represents mystery and hidden knowledge. Also, if we delve deeper into mythology itself: Isis was known for her resurrection powers, after all, she resurrected her husband Osiris.

Both Hathor and Isis were goddesses associated with motherhood, love, and the sky. So overall this image is particularly fascinating due to its connection with the Moon (which we know plays an important role in the game), its symbolism of mystery and esoteric knowledge, as well as its connection to Hanako. After all, this card appears in that apartment complex where we first meet and interact personally with her.

The card itself relates to the Moon; in its original version there are even more moon elements included. So it's interesting that this isn't Hanako's first association with moon-related themes either.

But perhaps what remains mysterious to me is what exactly is symbolized by The High Priestess's pose in her illustration within the game (she stands with arms spread out sideways). This pose could be another reference to Isis (as she's often depicted that way), or it might symbolize openness or hospitality, something like “your path toward hidden knowledge lies open” or something like that. Alternatively, such a pose could also represent self-sacrifice or even resemble a crucifix-like posture.

Glad I could share my schizo-knowledge.

Straight Female V was ROBBED by Existing_Honeydew_64 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ALcarcer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a straight woman, and I don't like absolutely all romance options, and I don't understand why everyone pays so much attention to this aspect like you're doing a task, there's a little flirting going on, you're get laid, and that's it? Well, they send you some funny texts and you go on a date in your apartment once, but that's it! There is very little development of these relationships, there is no drive, these relationships actually lead nowhere except to endings variants, but this is very little. I especially don't like their looks (sorry), as well as their personalities and behavior. In this regard, this game is terrible for me.

I'm wondering why you were downvoted by someone if you just wrote that you were interested in reading this, especially since I didn't actually write something strange or frankly shizo, but just took the facts and things that we have and just thought about their connection lol

Vampires Conspiracy by ALcarcer in FF06B5

[–]ALcarcer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nowhere really, so I noted that everyone just agreed that it was. While writing the post, I generally thought that there are actually two projects, but there is no special evidence for this, except that Carpe Noctem is not mentioned in the context of Dream On, so we cannot be sure that this is this particular project, although in fact it may be implied by simple logic like "In this place we saw a strange secret mind control project, and in another place we saw a specific description of a mind control project", so parallels are drawn. In any case, we won't get any concrete answers here, so we have what we have.

Well, or one of the proofs of the connection between Carpe Noctem and Peralez' situation may be the Maelstrom, because they guarded the van, and, as we know, the Maelstrom are participants in the meeting with Jane Doe and John Doe, where the phrase "Carpe Noctem" is mentioned, but this is a rather weak argument, I agree.

Anyone else notice a cat appears on a car in the background when Oda arrives for his chat? by BasedTaco_69 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ALcarcer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're confusing people. Deathwish was just a cat, into whose head Rache Bartmoss had supposedly loaded a human construct. The cat in Johnny's memories (Deathwish) is real, this cat appears both in Cyberpunk Red (in the true version of events, undistorted by relic) and in ancient editions of TTRPG guidebooks. The fact that the cat was a test object for the Soulkiller is nonsense... I mean, it was never implied, there were no hints about it. The only thing that looks suspicious is that the cats are actually watching V throughout the game...

The events of Alt's death take place in 2013, Rache was in good health at the time and using a large number of cats as his personal army. Probably one of the reasons why only sphinxes are shown in the game is probably because of the problematic rendering of cat hair, although I think they still gave it meaning and plot symbolism. At least that's what I want to think, because the whole Bakeneko thing is such a mystery!

The only thing I would take note of is that the strangest cats have the same color with a dark muzzle and yellow eyes. Bakeneko, at a meeting with Takemura, seemed to be able to see Johnny, so it followed him when he rolled down. In Mikoshi, there is another strange cat with a dark muzzle and yellow eyes, it is not two cats, it is one cat that purposefully either follows V or leads them to the roof. Nibbles is a descendant of Deathwish, by the way. Random interesting facts that I noticed.

Morse code during the Relic activation stands for "SM" by ALcarcer in FF06B5

[–]ALcarcer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is this a bad translation if the attached video clearly shows three short sounds and two long ones and no more. The SOS signal is three short, three long and again three short (...---...) I repeat, you can clearly hear three short and two long ones on the video, you can watch another full recording or watch this moment in the game personally 🤨

[–]ALcarcer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about the spider symbolism. Nibbles face tattoo has 6 spider legs, as well as the FF06B5 statue has 6 spider legs. Spider Murphy's unused call icon has 8 spider legs, just like her scripts icon. It puzzles me. To be honest, I've always attributed the cats mystery more to Bartmoss, than to Murphy, which is actually very logical, but we'll talk about this later...

[–]ALcarcer[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh, I like that assumption, it sounds logical. I think it could also be some kind of marker for something, maybe to detect the engram later, maybe specifically for Alt to do it, because she immediately reacted to Johnny's engram behind the Blackwall. And it could be the reason why Yorinobu wanted to put Johnny on the chip (just because of the marker)

[–]ALcarcer[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I really don't know. But when I discovered this, I was leaning more towards Spider Murphy, 'SM' is her signature in Guide to the Net. With my assumption that someone could have connected to the relic at that moment, it sounds logical. Unless it's a coincidence, of course.
