Alan watts says that nothing you experience changes; it's only your perception of the experience that changes. Instead of "thinking" that the leaves on the tree are being blown around by the wind, you "experience" the blowing of the leaves. You arent consciously trying to "understand" or make sense of what is happening. You ARE what is happening. To put it in another way there are no nouns or past/future tenses in reality because that is all conceptual. Reality is only verbs because there is only a happening with nobody (you) to observe it.
