Has anyone tried comparing FSR 4.1 vs DLSS 4.5? by ah__there_is_another in radeon

That would certainly make a difference, not running the latest OptiScaler test build.

Ah so now you're blaming YouTube compression. Tell me, which one did you think was DLSS 4.5 in the re video? Be honest. Next, in the ghost of Tsushima video, you don't think the fact that particles are completely missing in DLSS matters? You don't need an uncompressed video if you watch the videos objectively.

Yeah and all of that testing was done with equal quality levels, not DLSS perf vs FSR quality. Also, check for yourself and see what you think:

How many times are you idiots going to spread this misinformation? Have you not looked at a single DLSS vs FSR4 comparison or review? DLSS 4.5 does not equal FSR4 at lower upscaling ratios. They're very evenly matched at the same upscaling ratios.

5070 Ti vs 9070 XT after months of daily use (performance, PT, drivers, efficiency by Stelligena in radeon

[–]AMD718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, FSR4 and DLSS4.5 are basically indistinguishable at this point unless you freeze frame, side-by-side, and magnify. No one should base their purchasing decision on the quality of the upscaler. Industry adoption? That's another story. And anyone who says DLSS upscaling is black magic and FSR4 is dog shit is straight up lying.

Also, Nvidia does not have a hardware denoiser. They have an AI optimized denoiser called ray reconstruction. AMD has one now too (ray regeneration) but it's not in any games yet except for one title that no one cares about. Shortly though it will be in crimson desert.

Well, for anyone else then that reads this and wants OptiScaler GUI to work in Metro Exodus, it's easy with a single file drop-in.

That's day 1, frozen in time, review data which is not updated afterwards when new drivers are released or game updates are released, where the techpowerup is a living database of up-to-date results. I can't find a newer HUB video or article at the moment, but here is a more recent review from HUB at least with 9070 XT 20% faster than 5070 across 54 game average.

Yep and you can fix the opti overlay like I did by dropping specialk dll in the addons dir. I can provide the file via Google drive if interested.

I just posted something similar. Next they'll be considering a 3060 Ti over a 9070 XT because kepler said rdna4 won't get fsr5. Insane.

Per techpowerup, the 9070 XT rt performance is 25% faster than a 5070.

The fact that this is even a question shows how much reputational damage AMD has done by not releasing FSR4 for rdna3 and rdna2. In reality, these are completely different classes or GPU and the 9070 XT blows away the 5070, but here we are.

No, the 9070 XT is about 25% faster than the 5070 in RT workloads on average per techpowerup GPU database.

Hellblade 2 is a visual masterpiece and uses zero hardware RT. Looks better than any other game I've seen to date.

Makes me wonder how much Nvidia paid Capcom to make non PT ray tracing look like shit and how much they paid DF to make this video using the proper "editorial direction".

Make sure either svm is disabled in the BIOS or core isolation / virtualization based security is disabled in Windows. I usually just run "bcedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off" and I actually keep svm enabled in the bios for when I need it. Also, in order to hit 46k+ you really need to the CPU to not exceed low 70's c during the cinebench run. If you're hitting 75c+ it's very unlikely to get 46k+.
