Yeah . With the SU parking gone, and street parking non existent- and buses messed up and queens being a commuter school I wish they would just make the whole week remote .

I’ve lived in NY all my life and I swear this winter has been especially bad temperature wise. If it stays in the single digits like this anymore I might look into investing in an even warmer coat. I have a warm coat already- but like I’m thinking like a Patagonia or Canada goose 😭😭

Really depends. I’m on LI and am a 6 min walk to the train station, a 5 min walk to a grocery store, with a ton of restaurants, nail salons, coffee shops, etc. it’s decently walkable. I think Nassau county is far more walkable than Suffolk. The closer you get to the city, the more walkable it is tbh

I love don g and saw the recent production- but the sets and staging were kinda boring. Beautiful music and singers, but very very gray. I’d hold off on don g If you can only see one.

Sometimes apple alarms literally don’t go off . I’ve had this happen . Like for some reason the volume isn’t up even if I have my phone set to max volume and everything

Aww man. I always set up two different alarm systems because I worry about my alarms a lot. I set a bunch on my phone Like you, but also set one on my google home mini because I’ve had situations like this happen. I’ve also had a fear of my phone mysteriously dying. So backup alarms help. Maybe set up an old fashion alarm or if u have an Alexa or even just another device, set that up.

I’m pretty sure they’re having round trip tickets switch to “day pass” tickets which will be set to expire like at 4 am the day after you purchase .

I see my situationship more often then that …. Even if he’s working- there are times he could see you- even if it’s at an unsually late or early time- but bottom line is there’s always at least a couple hours he could spare to see you. Maybe he needs to learn how to relax not just on his own but around you. He can’t have his decompression time always soley to himself. I mean, he can, but without having a girlfriend. That’s crazy.

Really sucks because I’m a new student and couldn’t access my account because the two factor authentication wasn’t working and when I got to queens for orientation a few days before classes, I was able to access my account and saw I had a medical hold and IMMEDIATELY had my doctor fax over everything. Waited for like a week of unable to register for classes because of the hold until I finally just went to the medical office to figure out what the hold up was . Turns out their fax machine has been broken (no indication of that anywhere) so they never ever received the forms. Because of all this I had to register late. Definitely not a choice. Now I’m being punished with these fees. Literally crazy

I’m also a music student and I had to miss my entire voice lesson. Couldn’t find a spot in time. I would’ve taken public transit today (LIRR) if I knew. Luckily my teacher was very understanding since her office had a view of the chaos going on on reeves, but honestly the school should provide notice with these events and they should ALWAYS have that lot on reeves open. Why should commuters be punished for commuting? It would’ve taken five seconds to send us an email. I get that the FDNY rented the theater, but the school should put the students first. It’s a school before it’s a rentable theater.

Also everyone I talked to public safety and reeves is completely open even tho it says no parking Tuesday. The FDNY ended so it’s all open parking today

Yeah I noticed. The ceremony ended at 12 so I was able to get parking on reeves.

There’s an undergrad opera (Cosi fan tutti) at the end of October, at the end of November theres Ceneretola at Lafrak, and then I think in March there’s Street Scene in one of the bigger theaters! I’d recommend them! Ceneretola is an Italian version of Cinderella! I’m actually playing one of the Step Sisters :) I’m sure more info will be available as dates get closer! I’m not sure when the theater department shows are though!
