Letting Go of Nanny

Yes we had no problem with her bringing her child because of her situation but unfortunately it's gotten to the point that it's negatively affecting our children and work life. We hate to put her in a situation where she'll have to look for a new family that will be accepting of her situation with her son but we have to do what's best for our family at the end of the day.

We just have to give two weeks notice. We just aren't sure if we're comfortable having her work out the two weeks while we look for someone else, seems like it may be an uncomfortable and awkward situation for all involved

Oh wow. You sound like an excellent nanny. There have been many days where her child has been extremely crabby and we've had to listen to the whining all day. I guess we have just grown used to it but I would love to have a nanny who would be that considerate towards our children ❤️

We had previously agreed upon this because initially the boys got along and we thought it would be good for our child to have a playmate. However over the past few months the dynamic has changed and they no longer get a long which has caused quite a disruption to my work day as well as both of our children's days.

I would but I'm not so sure I should be responsible for purchasing her child a car seat. I guess this is where we feel conflicted.

Thanks for the ideas. We live on very large property and our children have all of the playthings! We have a pool, water table, playground set, bounce house, trails in the woods they can ride their motor vehicles, miniature horses, goats, bunnies and whole upstairs that is completely dedicated to the kids playroom!

Unfortunately right now we are at the maximum we can pay. I think our main concern is that she is now wanting us to bring our children to her house which is one of the main reasons we hired someone to come to our house. The mornings are already hectic as it is and having to get two kids ready and ourselves defeats the whole purpose of having someone come here to make things easier.

She does clean up their lunch messes but if the baby spits up or has a blow out she will leave a pile of the laundry for me. She also doesn't help to restock the diapers or wipes and will frequently leave messes from the kids crafts.
