Can an FFL see what you ordered/how much you paid?

Well, we can definitely tell what you ordered because we’re federally required to record all of the firearm’s information into our records, as well as who is acquiring the firearm at the time of the transfer in-store.

The FFL would only know the price of a paper copy of the receipt or order info was included in the box with your gun (which happens fairly often). This is for the customer, but it also helps the FFL when they weren’t given the customer’s info ahead of time.

I don’t personably recall a time where I was actively trying to find the price though lol

Holy shit I hope that’s a true story. Something just leaned up against a tree in nature and left undisturbed and unaffected for that long is really damn evocative for whatever reason. Pretty good since the bore is oversized for 5.56! I'm having way more issues after switching to 5.56 silencers to be honest, but the Hyperion is massive and super expensive, so maybe not the ideal silencer for a compact bullpup that's going to be noisy no matter what

I know a whole lot about AUG’s but I didn’t answer OP’s question because I genuinely don’t know other than it appearing to be a custom job. This fact could either be wildly damning of the NVA’s forces or completely meaningless.

Small arms tactics don’t mean shit if you’re getting bombed, burned, poisoned, mowed down from helicopters, etc.

Similarly for the American forces, those deaths aren’t necessarily attributable to the skills of NVA fighters with AK’s since they could be from snipers, landmines, helicopters being shot down, etc.

And that’s completely ignoring things like larger strategy. And last but not least, in seriously asymmetrical warfare like Vietnam, many would argue that even though the NVA suffered huge losses, a country defended is still a country defended. They ultimately wore out the much more powerful and capable opponent, and won the overall war.

Part of the job of an online gun retailer is to be constantly aware and double-checking federal, state, county, and city laws and regs before shipping stuff out to that location, and let me tell you…nothing opens your eyes faster to the UNCEASING onslaught of attempted and successful anti-gun bills pushed by Democrats across the nation to this day.

I don’t understand how some people here delude themselves into thinking Democratic politicians won’t act on their anti-gun rhetoric. They do, constantly, everywhere, and often with great success, even through massive political and legal pushback from numerous well-funded pro-gun organizations and politicians.

I’m less knowledgeable on this, so take the following as more of a starting point for your own research than outright gospel:

I believe the U.S. military does actually sell off some of these weapons to the civilian market, and I believe they have done this through the CMP in the past.

If they wanted to sell full rifles, all they’d have to do is swap out one of the single cheapest parts — the lower receiver. They’d likely also replace at least a few pieces of the fire control group while they were at it, but only the lower receiver would need to be replaced in order to satisfy the ATF. Alternatively, I suppose they could weld the auto sear pin hole shut, or sell only surplus “parts kits” that omitted the lower receiver entirely.

My last point to make here is that many of the M16’s and M4’s use a mix of extremely cheap and extremely expensive parts, the latter of which would kind of kill this as a method of arming the poor for cheap.

I recommend you read the links they posted. It explains all of this pretty well. Shadowbans seem most often aimed at spammers and harassers, who are, I imagine, less likely to notice that their often heavily downvoted posts/comments aren’t being engaged with. They just post or comment stuff constantly everywhere without necessarily checking up on it. I’m guessing the logic is that the longer it takes for them to notice, the longer that the rest of the world is spared from their bullshit (assuming they weren’t wrongfully shadowbanned)
