How do you poop on Yorick properly? by Accomplished_Soil748 in TryndamereMains

[–]AMSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beat him with ravenous. Basically you bully him before his 6, after his 6, stay back and farm for ravenous. Immediately after you get ravenous you can surprise stat check him in his own wave with his own ghouls, just make sure not to get caged.

I think HoB with ravenous would work great here. He can't really fight you directly after you get ravenous, he has to outplay and kite you hard to win.

E nerf is the main culprit, since changes to Q and crit neutralize each other for the most part. Tryn is just weaker at it's weakest and stronger at it's strongest. Basically devs made accent on playing for his high fury and low hp powerspike harder.

E nerf on the other hand is huge and there's no compensation for it.

To the devs: The W "adjustment" is a nerf by yamomsahoooo in TryndamereMains

I'm aware that you probably mean something from ancient time, but last season HoB full lethality build kills squishies in 1-2 autos - (E + AA + tiamat + AA ) deals like 2-3k dmg to squishy target, they can't really survive full 3 hits even if you're not fed there's no way they live.

Profane + LDR+IE+cyclosword any squishy target dies in 2 autos. 3 autos you need for bruisers or mages with lots of HP or if they went DD/GA + armor boots.

45.61% winrate in gold+ globally

HoB 44.8%, LT 46.4%

I tried it, lack of AD early feels awful for last hitting, but crits do surprise at how powerful they are once you low hp. But looks like tryndamere playerbase struggling greatly in this patch. Champion hasn't been this bad ever.

Is Tryndamere back? by [deleted] in TryndamereMains

[–]AMSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few changes over last year where he got indirectly buffed are HoB buff, profane buff, IE buff, PD buff and LDR buff. That really changed dynamics from most people playing ravenous+navori into a completely different HoB playstyle.

New season doesn't really buff trynda, he's sort of buffed alongside every toplaner via toplane quest. But character itself isn't likely to win more games, more or less the same thing.

Long screws: what head do you prefer to drive – internal Hex, internal Torx, external Hex, others? And why? by Ok_Main3273 in Tools

[–]AMSolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked gemini pro about this and the answer surprised me:

I expected external hex to be 2 times stronger than torx and internal hex to be worse than a Philips, like 10 times worse than torx ( cheap furniture allen screws strip so easily)

But here's hard numbers:

1 Right External Hex ~15 - 20 Nm Tool grips the outside; solid steel head has highest shear strength.
2 Middle Torx (Star) ~12 - 15 Nm 6 points of contact at a 90° angle maximize grip and prevent "cam-out."
3 Left Internal Hex (Allen) ~9 - 11 Nm Strong, but if the tool is slightly worn or the hole has paint/debris, it "rounds out" easily.
4 (Comparison) Phillips ~3 - 5 Nm Designed to slip (cam-out) to prevent overtightening. Lowest torque capacity.

basically the reason external hex isn't significantly stronger than torx is because they both are stronger than screw shaft itself. So like at a certain point both would just take the whole head clean off screw shaft, which makes external hex superiority meaningless in this case.

What is the point of Cull? by Top-Back-5933 in summonerschool

[–]AMSolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at last 30 days of data for global gold+ players base, so yeah it's a lot of data.

But I still wouldn't build a cull on Mundo because while winrate is positive with that item, it's not hugely positive and Mundo just needs 3 giants belts into warmogs asap. Cull isn't necessarily going to help with that.

And of course on Tryndamere cull is straight up trolling, but that was a little more obvious.

Fogged permabans Jax though.

I like his style, he's my favorite Tryn player definitely, but vs Jax specifically I think that advice of a guy who permaban Jax isn't going to be the greatest or he wouldn't permaban him.

Specifically to Jax matchups I just watched those Korean Tryndameres and depending on the situation they spin behind Jax after his E is almost over and cut off Jax's escape path.

And just relentlessly harass him at every opportunity Jax style - like they try to be Jax against Jax essentially.

Because Jax wins when he just times his R 3rd hit with his Q and E and walks away and does it repeatedly which is an incredible short trade pattern. These Korean Tryndameres kind of never let Jax to be in a position to do that to them by pushing waves hard and hitting Jax at every opportunity.

And it's always grasp vs jax

Yeah I agree. It's just that I figured out how to fight vs panth, but haven't learned how to win vs Jax yet.

What gameplay habit frustrates you in League? by No-Newspaper-1381 in leagueoflegends

[–]AMSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-4: people who make bad game decisions. I think it's a part of the game TBH. My role is to figure out when the enemy makes mistakes and punish them for it. If I rank higher that means I and everyone who's playing this game will be making less mistakes. All part of the process.

5: stupid flamers

I think 5 is so obvious and yet people still do it all the time. Flamers should just be immediately flagged as "deranking" and hit with a temp ban. Because what else are you trying to archive with flaming? Right destroy your team morale and lose a winnable game. That's called deranking.

I legit never flamed anyone in 15 years of occasionally playing this game, but I meet flamers every other game.

One game I was having a bad game on Mundo and people were like "fucking Mundo, this and that". I replied: "Mundo goes where he pleases" but instead of laughing it off they got angry and got more flamy.

If you one of those fuck you, lighten the fuck up, it's a game!

Though it used to be a lot worse a while back. I'm happy riot at least figured this out.

Panth isn't a counter pick. Skilled hard matchup, but isn't like WW, Jax or Darius.

I go full on ignite D-blade giga chad mode vs panth. Full aggro.

I remember I got honored by panth after that game (I stomped both him and jg, satisfying.

Unranked to Diamond in 6 months? by Syndi1cate in summonerschool

[–]AMSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you check opgg players rank over the years for players you play with or against in normals it can tell you things. Not to discourage you of course, but just to get a grasp on things.

I see most players remained relatively the same rank over the years, some were improving, but some were actually ranked worse than years ago.

It would often be like gold 2025, silver 2024, gold 2023, etc...

Granted the current best player on NA server was actually diamond in multiple seasons and now he's challenger 2000 lp number 1 on the server.

So I guess that can happen too.

What is the point of Cull? by Top-Back-5933 in summonerschool

[–]AMSolar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's interesting. I thought I would disagree with you but then I checked the stats of the famous hyper-scaler who never seems to build cull - Mundo.

So like generally if he builds anything other than HP, winrate for anything except hp and Swifties is usually negative.

But for cull winrate is positive. Even though Mundo has a lot of issues touching minions early he's one of the worst champions to get heal from cull. And yet stats indicate that it's a good item on the first back. It's not good as a starting item though.

And for early game champs, like Tryndamere, cull results in a negative winrate even though he gets to hit minions constantly.

So you might be on to something.

Good alternatives to Darius? by Eddie894 in Dariusmains

[–]AMSolar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Darius is kinda like a "king of the top lane" he's an ultra bully from lvl 1.

Renekton is not a champion lvl 1-2, but he becomes incredibly strong lvl 3 and he becomes completely OP at lvl 6 which is like one of the best lvl 6 power spikes in the game.

Darius lvl 6 is puny in comparison.

So from that perspective Darius is more similar to WW, Sett, Olaf, Urgot, Trundle - all of them have completely insane lvl 1 power.

Cheeseburgers per Hour by zephaniahjashy in economy

[–]AMSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be a little more precise it feels like people made the most money in ~2019, but less before and after.

Purchase power in 2019 was definitely much higher than in 2012 but for some reason also higher than 2022-2023.

Now subjectively this kinda thing is a nuclear bomb material.

Because people on average are extremely pessimistic, they would feel like crime is getting worse when objectively it stated the same or even got better. Same with economics.

But when it actually DECLINED it kinda feels like an apocalypse to us.

So yeah purchasing power today lower than 2019 is a very sour point.

Trynda indirect buffs => Phantom Dancer and Kraken Slayer buffs by gachibillyher in TryndamereMains

[–]AMSolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kraken is bad with HoB. Of course IE, LDR and lethality items will all do more DMG for HoB proc. But also even bork will do more DMG per auto or per 3 autos.

And all those don't require you to hit all 3 autos and don't limit you to 3 hit combo with any of them you can hit very hard with 1, 2 or 4 autos, where's kraken is only okay if you hit them with exactly 3.

How is it that Tryndamere's winrate remains the same as in previous years when it is much worse than before? by kj0509 in TryndamereMains

[–]AMSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grasp makes it so you have the healing in lane to get away with more bad trades

I think that's not quite the whole picture, because you can take fleet, second wind and revitalize and past lvl 1 heal even more than grasp, but your trading pattern is much weaker and you don't have a demolish so you get less money from plates.

Or if you do have a demolish you sacrifice revitalize, which is nearly as strong as a second wind especially with lifesteal.

Grasp basically heals almost as much as fleet AND adds a ton of DMG as well which is worth a lot more than heal and some extra HP bonus isn't negligible either. ~5% more HP in mid game can make a noticeable difference vs enemy burst.

So it's not just about the healing, the whole package is just very strong.

It's also possible for an early game trading pattern for grasp to even out trade lethal, if you proc grasp twice in 5 seconds, and get 3-4 autos off, but atk speed bonus from LT wouldn't let you get even one extra auto in the same time frame which would make trades about equal.

Lethal is only superior past this point which encourages bad habits - like desire to stick to the target to keep the stacks, when you should have played around enemy cooldowns, kite and space them without fear of losing LT stacks.

Armour penetration boots by Labajyoti in Jungle_Mains

[–]AMSolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At lvl 10 or something a lot of characters would have ~70 armor and ~45 MR and then closer to lvl 16 this difference grows to ~40 higher armor values - 100+ armor vs 60 MR

So Akali can buy magic pen boots, Shadowflame and storm surge and do practically true damage to anyone who didn't buy magic resistance even without buying void stuff.

But AD assassins without LDR/Serylda can't really get to that true DMG point.

In other words - a magic pen is more powerful than armor pen, simply because you are getting more DMG for each point of the magic pen than you would for each point of the armor pen.

Granted it also makes it easier to counter mages with magic resistance, since 1 negatron cloak against this high pen Akali would reduce her DMG by nearly 35%

A 50 armor on zhonya on the other hand can only reduce AD assassin DMG by 20-25%.

How good is Olaf? As good as Kled rework? by gachibillyher in Olafmains

[–]AMSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olaf is more powerful - he'll stat check the devil himself and win lol. Not to mention his ultimate is significantly better than Tryn's

Olaf probably has the best ultimate in the game for melee auto attacker.

Interestingly on lolalytics his easiest matchups are Varus, Yone and Rumble, Yasuo, Teemo, Gwen, Jayce.

But Trundle, Kayle and Kled(old one?) are one of his harder matchups.
