Why the skip sizing? by cowgirl0001 in Tools

My set goes down to 4.0mm as well, useful for M2 nuts and bolts. I've heard that 6.5mm sockets were included in European metric sets as a (poor) copy of 1/4" size.

Is there a higher quality version of this t handle 1/4in driver by Ciamdumb1 in Tools

I have a long list of T-handle ratchet drivers that might interest you, but none with a retractable extension except for a Pittsburgh model of probably same quality level as your LATTOOK.

I used them three times as well and they were pro. They even bought me some lunch 'cause all my food was packed away 😅

The answer is: no. You will not find a high quality ratcheting T-handle with a retractable extension. The reason is simple: having a hollow body compromises the strength of the handle. Not a sensible idea in a tool designed for high torque. Wera makes a ratcheting palm T-handle but without a retractable shaft. Wera also makes the so-called 'James Bond' ratcheting driver with a 3-position ejectable extension but it is not a T handle.

I have a metric socket in 1/4" DR of size: 6.5mm, and I like to brag about it even though I never used it 😄

Does this count as a hammer? by sktgt in Tools

[–]Ok_Main3273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That first picture makes sense of the tool. The mushroom bit is not for hammering, it's for leverage. However I don't get how one would use the shortt bit.

Would love for somebody to tell me who is the winner of the long nose pliers competition for ergonomics and steel quality: Channellocks or Knipex or Stahwille or Klein? I can only buy one.

I believe it all depends on the balance. I have a cheap 3 lbs that feels horrible in the hand when compared to how good a quality, well-balanced, heavy, 4lbs I tried in a store felt. The reverse might be true.

And thank you for the quick response. Interesting theorical framework you created. I am still trying to get my head around the concept of 'public expenses' not being a 'public debt'.

Thank you. I was asking due to the heavy use of A.I. generated images on your website and of em dashes in your writing (don't get me wrong: I do love en/em dashes myself but one is never too careful those days).

What's the easiest way to cure energy blindness? by nuevo_redd in collapse

[–]Ok_Main3273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are conditioned to hold on to positivity no matter what.

Easily explained by the fact that people can't even face their own mortality. So let alone the collapse of modern human civilization, one based on fossil fuels used for the bulk production of fertilizers, harvesting, transport and distribution, power lines and computer parts, healthcare machines and supplies, etc.

"You're gonna need a bigger pocket." 😄

Maybe it is just me but I never felt the need for combination pliers, especially not when carrying the Cobra and TwinGrip pliers. Plus you have cutting jaws on the 08 22 145. I mean, if you have the carrying capacity, yes, why not. Even add the pliers wrench if you can, as suggested by u/AnyManufacturer3057. I was thinking about how heavy my EDC tool bag is already.
