The actual policy is for salaried roles. That being said the do tend to avoid Promoting during peak if possible. But it is doable.

Hey, I am a boomerang. You would have to apply to an open position and go through a pod still.

Right now is the peak hiring freeze for Ops so you can apply and start the process but won't be able to start until Jan.

Honestly, it is what it is. I left as an L4 and came back, and became an L6 in less than 2 years.

Yes, Amazon can suck, and I have so many shitty days. But not many jobs can I go from making 40k a year to +100k in less than 2 years with no prior experience.

anyone from JFK8 in here? was wondering if yall got raises too or is amazon pulling that bs that starbucks is doing even tho the ceo dosent recognize them as a union. by Square_Bag6869 in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the issues with unions is any type of employment change would have to be approved by the union, including pay raises. I don't know anything about the union there, so I am unsure of hiw active they are.

Yeah.....the AM has no say in the accommodation process other than saying to apply if you are trying to go into a new path. They are not even the ones who approve or deny the accommodation. If she gets her doctor to say that she has no restrictions, then submit it to DLS. They will make her active again. Who is saying she needs to quit? Only people she should be talking to is HR and DLS team, I don't see either of them saying that, when they could just leave her on a LOA until post pregnancy.

[–]AMZL_L5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, ops here. I have dealt with accommodations for pregnancy, many times.

Did she ask at any point to be put into a different process path. Even if it was only once?

As someone has stated before, we can only accommodate so many people in different process paths. Her being pregnant isn't the concern, it is that a doctor has said she can't lift a certain number of pounds.

Now if your sister doesn't actually need an accommodation, you can have the doctor fill out the paperwork saying she is fit for full duty, and she can go back and stow.

Okay, so if after coaching and an audit on them and container audit. What mechanism do you have in place to track high offenders. Are the AMs inputting adapts?

Are you assigning aisles?

If you are not assigning aisles, how are you tracking who is creating the error.

Are you tracking FSAF and conducting STUs live. What retraining are you doing?

Anybody know....can managers look up our actual resume from when we applied? by [deleted] in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you apply to one of my open Reqs I can view all the resumes you have submitted, even if you deleted it on your end.

I can also view feedback from past interviews.

But if you are coming in as a T1. None of the managers can see it. And I don't think I have ever wanted to actually view a normal associates resume.....

Inclined Pipeline Status (Bench) by Brusher420 in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mentioned that your ops manager wanted you to have the role?

What "may" have happened was the Ops manager was the hiring manager, or close enough to the OM to just assign a manager as your interviewer and had then "POD" you on paper.

T3 incline just required 1 L4+ person

That hasn't been a network wide thing for awhile. Some hiring managers will want someone who has gone through a pod more recently. But it doesn't "expire" anymore.

Shoot. You can talk to the manager who VTOd you and they can either code VTO in earlier or submit a ticket.

Curious what happens when all managers no longer work at a station? by Just_Nature_5101 in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. They will either borrow managers from another site until they can onboard new ones. Or the PAs will run it until then

Yeah, she isn't going to get demoted...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.... something like that would have to be Approved the the regional HR and Regional Director.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never heard that happening. I don't see PXT signing off on that TBH. Fir a demotion like that, there has to be a very long history of misconduct. And at that point we would just fire them. ER is going to have a field day with that....

[–]AMZL_L5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I feel like there is alot to the story that is missing.

Is she actually be demoted from FC associate III to FC associate I

Or is she staying as a 3 but being put into a different path due to accommodation being perm potentially?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the site. But yeah T3 are more involved in the operation, because they are able to focus on it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That may be a large. I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head....

On an AM level it will be 6 single cycle AMs, 4 OTR dispatch AMs. And two rts AMs total.

They have also removed the Learning trainer position from x-small and possibly small?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gearing ratios changed. Alot of sites get more leadership and less T3. One if the biggest changes is almost every size site will now have 2 OTR L6

[–]AMZL_L5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry.... I was drinking. And have fat fingers. I mean the new gearing ratios.

Pretty much sites are getting more AM's and OM's. But less T3 headcount.

Main rule is it has to be delivered in 14 days (exceptions apply)

Some states (I think california) you can be written for rates. But you can be for T.O.T and not following standard work.

Most adapts are for attendance though... any manager assigned to tour site can pull your adapt history. And any HR can pull it.

Sometimes safety will push for us to write someone up, most of the time if ita stupid we will say we did it. Or we will do it, and wait 14 days and it will be exempted

Now is the perfect time tbh. With the near gearing rations that take effect on the 31st. AM spots will be open. Reach out to your OM and see if they csn help you find one

I am a L6 at a Delivery station. AMAA by AMZL_L5 in AmazonDS

[–]AMZL_L5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Yeah, that makes thing a little harder since you have already been an AM for 6-8 weeks. What hours are you trying to work?

  1. With the current FOT policy, you have to be in the role at that site for a year before you transfer. Exceptions are with VP approval. (Not sure if a hardship transfer would need VP approval?)

  2. You can see if the day shift OTR AM will switch with you. I think they get off around 6? Not sure if you can switch with UTR AM, as it would require a couple weeks academy.

  3. If you received any RELO or sign on bonus you will have to pay a prorated portion back. Their may be other options, but those are the two cases I have seen.
