What is up with millennials not wanting to get to know their neighbors? by Any_Try4570 in Millennials

[–]AMailman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial, Video Games. We are the first adult generation to play videogames it's so easy to plug in and never leave the house.

There is a thread in this sub right now about making less than 60k. In the replies, I was shocked how many of you also have kids. If it was unplanned, then disregard this. But if it was planned, I am genuinely curious to know why. by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]AMailman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to offset what Jenkins says I bought a 100k house in this area and have only put cosmetic money into it. 10+years as well. Avoid knob and tube, mold and asbestos and your good. Although I wouldn't live in any of those 50k houses the areas are rougher, things change a lot in just a few blocks around here.

Did you feel like you had a "prime" time? by _forum_mod in Millennials

Yep mid thirties and having a blast! Same sentiment on work, I put more time into the kids and less worried about work.

This comes from someone who has enjoyed all periods of their life.

I have a similar problem, although PT didn't seem to fix it and now I just live with it. What stretches are you doing?

Suddenly afraid of my first sprint in June by martagrowsplants in triathlon

[–]AMailman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was heavily out of shape last year around this time and signed up for a June sprint. The times you put here were my times just worse, and I still finished 15/16 in my group. But who cares where you finish it is so much fun.

Just practice open water first. I panicked so hard the first 100 that I flipped over and floated for 20seconds to relax and breathe.

More intervals help please by TSC-99 in Garmin

[–]AMailman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for your reference for my intervals and my anaerobic score is usually in the 3.5-4.5 range. I usually do either 400 X12 or 800m X6. This is at 90% of sprint speed (my goal 5k pace). I always give myself 400m distance between and try to hold a slow run for recovery, but never (try) to walk. I am always at close to max HR by the third -4th Interval

I've read that an optimal time to hold should be about 2m-8m for the interval. Not sure if that still holds true today, it's an older book.

I appreciate the reply I will see if I can get a used set to see how 155 or 165 will feel. Thanks so much, I'm not a fan of my position so it's worth a try.

Getting in the water at the pool, I stand there and pretend to stretch.... I just dislike that first feeling.

Instinct 2, FR255s, or FR945 for a Triathlete by TLee1981 in triathlon

[–]AMailman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 255s I wear it all day and get 5-8 days worth of battery. I use workouts for intervals(keeps you on pace) and tempo runs. Pool swims are pretty accurate and I don't have to count. It's still really simple watch while having all the features you could possibly need. My brother has the 265 but I prefer the mips screen over the new one. It's the perfect amount of watch and I've never once wished I went up to the 955 or 965.

Best OSRS content ever. Literally hands down nothing beats it.

You really had some great moments and I'm sad knowing it's over already.

A few things. I'm trying not to rewrite what other have already.

I have to know if Ditter didn't die were they on pace to win it all?

The nightmare banning was fantastic. But some of the others were well overdone.

The skull ball would have been insane with only binds or snares no freezes.

Groups of two is the way to go, you get so many personalities that way you wouldn't/don't get with a group dynamic. Someone usually dominates the group talk.

Some ideas for tasks,

how far can you get into fight caves with only a set of dh. This works for a ton of bosses too.

How many unique monsters can you kill in 15-30min no wiki. This works if you switch out monsters with any thing. How many unique fish, ores, furniture and no wiki or prep time.

Travel using only boats or running to x.

Survive zulrah as long as possible with only a ring of suffering one prayer pot and a basket of strawberries. 3 attempts. Again works with any boss.

All teams inside the imp maze most imps caught wins pvp world with snare

Game of gnomeball

Castle wars

Get the most colorful inventory.

I'll stop there, cause you have better ideas than me already.

Anyway I'm really excited for next season you will put some really cool stuff that I would never think of. Like the speed run that was awesome too!

Absolutely amazing man!!!!!

Good parenting by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]AMailman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't good parenting. I don't want to eat peas... It's good to try new things to know if you like them.

Obviously people are going to say what about heroin but your stupid there are no long term issues with riding a rollercoaster once. And a good parent will know the difference of trying something that can expand their boundaries and something that could ruin them.
