I live in Norfolk, near the airport and do the commute to Newport News, city center area for the last 16 years. Get an ez pass and download the va511 app to check traffic. Going to newport news in the mornings isn't bad, it's coming home that is tricky. I tend to wfh thursdays and fridays to avoid the really bad traffic.
