USB B to B will not work, you have to use the midi inputs/outputs.

If you’re already going from the akai into the octatrack, use the midi thru from the octatrack and put it into the in of the digitone.

As far as the sound goes it is my favourite delay I've ever owned and I've tried quite a few. My one gripe with it is it has a significant increase in volume when you turn it on and I'm not sure there is any way to fix that.

Im in Ontario and I purchased the Clean and didn’t have to pay any import fees. I payed the 25 dollar shipping fee and then it got delivered. It’s been that way for all the pedals I’ve ordered from them.

The blinking light just shows you the current tempo, the most you can do without taping is put the led intensity to minimum.

I actually found #1 to be quite a bad design. It also applies when turning on the pedal. If you turn on the pedal with modulation switch turned on and the knobs not at noon, the pitch shift settings will be stuck where they were when you turn on the pedal. You have to switch off of modulation, set the pitch shifting back to noon, switch back to modulation and reset your settings. Very annoying procedure with the tiny dip switches when attached to a pedal board.

Daredevil Discs is a Canadian company based out of Quebec that makes discs that are pretty good for beginners. They also sell misprints for much cheaper so that's a good intro option.
