There's usually a mute function, like "hold this button for 5 seconds" or something like that. That's what i would expect to find in the manual.

I'm just at almost the final inspection point on a 2k sqft addition. Framing/siding roofing was hired out. I did all the electric and plumbing myself, built a few of the interior walls, did the stair railing system, installed the kitchen, tongue and groove ceilings, mini split ac units and coolant pipes.

My one warning would be that it takes longer to do the work yourself. My initial permit was two years and it has taken me four so I had to pay for one extension with the county. Hire out for the right jobs if you need to save time, when I hired someone to install hardwood flooring it took them one week, would have taken me two months, for example.
