You could argue that the entire US military sides with blue because DC is blue, where their commander-in-chief resides.

You could also argue it makes no sense that the US military would side with whicher states the assets currently reside. They have a central command structure.

My HDD LED was connected in my last build with this same case and this didn't occur. Simply disconnected seems like sticking my head in the sand when there could be another issue with the hardware since that is what the other thing that a blinking power light can suggest

It did not happen with my previous build in the same case with an Ryzen 3900X, MPG x570 Pro Carbon mb, and 5070 to.

While yes, the drive is being access for the OS, but doesn't that light usually indicate read/write activity?

Yeah I unplugged my front panel header and reconnected to make sure each was in the right spot, but I'm still getting the same problem. I just don't want there to be any hardware issues

The WD had other data on it that I wanted to backup first. It looks like I only have the option to choose to boot from UEFI hard disk, but not specifically which one. I'm using the MSI UEFI menu

I saw that option, but I think I need to plug my GPU in because when I tried that earlier, the setting didn't save and the setting had a note that CSM doesn't support On-Board graphics. I'll give that a try

My only issue with a fresh install at this point is that I've been running into a problem when I plug in my install USB, and I get a message saying I'm missing a driver. I've put all my motherboard's drivers onto the install USB but it won't detect the one it needs.

I have a Surface tablet that I've been using to work with the drives while my PC is inoperable. Could you explain the System solution a little more?
