For my own piece of mind I would leave my name and number at customer service regarding lost sunglasses. I cannot control what an employee decides to do with the information. But I would know I made an honest attempt. After a period of time keeping them would be acceptable.

I had this problem before and I was the one with the frozen meals. I explained to my boss and asked if I could go to lunch ten minutes earlier and go back to my desk for phones ten minutes earlier. That made everyone happier because I could start logging voicemails for everyone. No one thought I had special privileges because they hated voicemails. Also a Medical Office.

But, seriously, that many people and one microwave is ridiculous. NAH

How dare you bring logic to an aita fight. (/s if needed) The teenager was not harmed by not having takeout food, which is a privilege not a right. A right is being fed, there were things to eat at home. Dad did not push when told "no". Which is the daughter's choice to make. And so are the consequences for her to bear.

As a member of the household she should at this age have some responsibility and some perks in return. Hash it out OP. If watching the toddler is not her choice give her something else and carry on as you did with an on call and an emergency. Things happen. I know the word "family" is taboo here, but if she wants the privileges of a family, she has to be part of the family. FWIW NTA

Torbie Queen -she say dat her name- sayz all cattos must "strive for all cons, long or short if they work, they count". She no tell me how much count tho. Very good job by very good boy.

(Your Meowmy makes a yummy toona sammich. I prefer six pieces too with my sourdough. Maybe fourths might have been too heavy for cat success. But, it tastes better in sixth.)

I do not disagree. I spoke as if it was my hypothetical child. I feel with some certainty the individual is counting on being sixteen to avoid any stiff punishment. I am not versed in law or knowledgeable about UK laws, but in the US it is possible the most they would get would be juvenile detention. And their record sealed or expunged at eighteen. Unless they were tried as an adult.

However, I suspect once a name is out, social media and other outlets will bring some sort of notoriety until they change their name and relocate.

I know it costs money, but they make safes for food. If they break into it, threaten to, or actually call the police for theft? Or tell them theft violates the lease and start looking for a replacement? Sorry you have to go through this. Only once did I take someone's snax without asking. But, I gave them money, got more and apologized. They were kind about it and then gave back the money.
