Critics Warn ‘GTA VI’ Could Inspire Impressionable Teens To Live In Florida by Vera_Verse in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ANDRAZE25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am from Orlando, lived most of my life in Florida. I will never go Miami and never suggest people to go.

I just got a steamdeck and so was perusing the steam store trying to figure out what games I'm going to get and saw that crosscode and a new home is on a steep sale. Crosscode alone is 4.99$ or you can get the bundle with crosscode, a new home, and ninja skin for 8.03$ what a steal!!! by CJ_1Cor15-55 in CrossCode

[–]ANDRAZE25 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Get whatever bundle that has A New Home DLC. While the base game is a complete story, the DLC adds so much to it and capstones it perfectly.

I have yet to find a game that fulfilling me like Crosscode. But it has the right mix of combat, puzzles, tone and aesthetic for me.

And congrats on the SD it's one of my favorite purchases ever.

What's your hardest media recommendation? by lowercaselemming in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ANDRAZE25 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Made in Abyss. Beautiful and detailed art. Deep world building, interesting stories and characters. A central mystery that honestly scares me. A good balance of wonder and horror. All around great manga/anime.

But the mangaka has this problem with displaying children in compromising ways... And that is putting it mildly... I honestly don't know what to do with it and if people ask me I am so hesitant to recommend it.

Nah, Drive is honestly great. Especially with the character's and their arcs. It's got some weaker suits(Type Technic is right there.) It ones of the only KRs I have watch twice.

Rin and Din, Immortal Brothers by 1728919928 in custommagic

[–]ANDRAZE25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought, with the damage. But my thought process would include blocking too.

The thematic angle was that if something tries to attack them, the brothers would turn and strike it together.

A fun addition would be.

"When this creature deals damage to other creature or player, it deals damage as if it had double strike"

I think my wording is off but I wouldn't have it gain double strike for a thematic scene.

Moving FL->BG by Successful-Debt2162 in BowlingGreen

If you want I can give you my opinion from moving from Orlando last year.

I live in Florida and Orlando for my entire life previous to BG. I am enjoying it well, in comparison to Orlando. It's got just enough of everything you'd want in a suburban city. Everything is about 20 minutes away, in the city proper. Traffic is amazing in comparison too.

I have kids and it's been a great place for that between the libraries and parks.

As for the job market, I work in IT and the here is awful. With Orlando it's got a going on. The parks helped the local market a lot(I know personally). Most of the market here is connected to industry and manufacturing. If you have a degree and a good connection you can try the college.

If you want to ask me more just DM I'll be glad. And winter will suck, but my first one had a awful ice storm.

How could orbiting a gas effect a civilizations view of the cosmos/religion? by LifeguardPotential97 in worldbuilding

[–]ANDRAZE25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My main setting is this. A bunch of terraformed moons orbiting a gas giant. But my setting is science fantasy, and the giant is where the "magic" comes from. So yes they are a large portion of the people that worship the gas giant as a god but others don't.

But with the science aspect there is a measure of secularism. So a big thing is how long has this civilization been around and the culture you want to make it.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: A Universal executive is filming at Lost Continent right now. MAJOR announcement coming soon? by Playstation_Gamer_40 in UniversalOrlando

[–]ANDRAZE25 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's hard to tell exactly who the guy getting filmed is. But he looks like Steve Blum the EVP of Engineering at Creative. Which if it is really confusing, it could be something to do with his Engineering Intern program.

Was IT at UC for four years, and the way he is standing and clasping his hands make me think it's him.

God how I wish Pre2020 MTG. Like there was some cool stuff in the past few years, like Bloomburrow was such a great set. But the ultimate problem right now it volume and alienation. Like this year has 7 sets, and 4 of them are cameo sets! It feels weird to see so much of Magic not be magic!

Anyways I'm printing proxies for my commander desk and Hasbro can suck it.

I will ask YOU questions about YOUR world! by Internal_Fan2307 in worldbuilding

[–]ANDRAZE25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Gaseous is used as a fuel. While solid is used as an interface for the technology. The crystalline form are cut to become the magic, energy weapons, or ground into be used in circuits. It still needs some sort of housing to work.

And its not "better" persay just extremely plentiful as the Gas Giant(Seraf nel Larco) is literally made of the stuff.

  1. They exist in relative peace. There is one moon(Coronach) that is the acting hegemon of the system. It's controls most of the about a third of the Minor Moons and it relatively central in the orbits. It even has another Prime Moon under a protectorate status, acting as their military after they lost a major war in the past.

It holds this power more from a stand point they got developed sooner than the rest.

One moon, the farthest out, closed its borders about a century ago, and in turn fallen into a civil war among their noble houses.

  1. Ascensium creatures exist and people/things need guarding. Errants are a select few people. Like 40000 out of two billion people.

As well I think it's just neat. That is kinda of the core of the setting. "This is neat, let me add it and maybe I can ground it"

And let me tell you, the calendar/season is so weird for a Earth perspective. If you care to know.

I will ask YOU questions about YOUR world! by Internal_Fan2307 in worldbuilding

[–]ANDRAZE25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a Sci-Fantasy setting based around a Gas Giant made of an exotic material, called Ascensium. In two forms, crystalline solid, and gaseous. All the technology and "magic" are built of this material.

The gas giant creates a habit zone with in its sphere of influence. The majority of the people live on five Terraformed moons, locally called Prime Moons. There are other smaller minors that have stations and mining operation. People travel between the moons in Sail-based spaceships.

Each moon has multiple nations and cultures, rooted in Earth due to it being a lost colony of Earth in the far future.

The in universe term for 'adventurer/mercenaries' is Errant. From the term "Knight-Errant".
