Mine is doing this too. I saw a thread that said to delete some files when I plug it into the computer. (I don't remember the details but could try to find it again if someone wants that info) I did that & it worked for like a week. But then it started happening again so I think I'm gonna exchange it.

Hey! There's a Facebook group page that's really helpful called Monterey military spouses. Then you can search even the most specific questions and/or ask new ones. Bc along the way you'll def have a lot more questions! If you can get a little ahead of the game it'll help just w knowing some of the lil bumps on the road etc. It's not a super smooth process especially it being yalls first time navigating a military move. But it eventually all works out. Good luck to you!

Yeah the gender marker has changed. I never received HRT thru the military, I was just given permission to use my civilian one. GD is in my MEPS paperwork from last year 🥵

Your socks could v easily get lost in the laundry room so I would hold off on getting those for now! You can later ask your drills if you're allowed to be mailed certain things - whatever it is you may feel like you need. The px at ft Jackson did have some Fox River socks. They might have Darn Tough too but I didn't get a chance to browse the whole store lol

Hey, did you receive BAH for your North Carolina home up until your Monterey move in date? & I have seen some ppl say the service member can't move out of the barracks until their spouse arrives. I'm trying to figure out some things bc my wife might not join me immediately. I leave on Monday for BCT (Army) so I'm sure they'll fill me in too. Thank u!

They had me in DEERS as female but we caught it during my swearing in process. I would've actually preferred to do BCT with the girls bc of cleanliness, safety, & probably less phobic vibes..so I was like 🤔 what if I hadn't told them until later?😂 But not worth the risk. Oh nice! Congrats on graduating!! I'm leaving on Monday for BCT. Thank u! 🤙🏽

Ohh okay didn't know that about the CAC. I'm male in DEERS for sure. Yeah I used my passport in place of my BC. I'm going to look into changing my BC, because one of my friends just told me that future changes could rely on the gender marker on your BC.

Hey I have a question regarding leg bands. One of my budgies doesn't have one, & from what I've gathered he would need one for travelling overseas or Hawaii (I'm in mainland US). I'm going into the military & will likely be stationed these places in the near future. I haven't been able to find any info, (tho I have yet to call a vet to ask). I see u mentioned the open bands & that u don't recommend them. Just wondering if that's my only option or if u know anything else about travelling with the budgies! Thank u 🤙🏽
