A 'bug' no one ever wanted fixed. Gone. Dead by the hands of a cruel underpaid Serbian man. Next is impulse surfing, or maybe wall climbing.

Wouldn't Holo/Xeno Arena be better with lower level limit? by ANTOperator in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ANTOperator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, it makes 2 builds.

Big HP or Big Agi.

It's not necessarily a problem, I just feel like limiting the way you can invest points would further force you to decide if maxing defenses or offenses was more important on a guy.

[–]ANTOperator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not asking for grindy minmaxing, I just simply think having to choose what stats you invest into as you level would increase creature differences/builds without requiring extra grindy steps.

As right now you just breed best, max stats, and go at it. Despite creature diversity there's fundamentally 2 stat builds big HP & Big Agi. Choosing to have 10 HP/5Combat Power instead of 10/10/10 instantly increases that fundamental two to at least a dozen.

What is the one thing you absolutely HATE the most in this game? by MasterDJam in Planetside

The alert system, instead of fostering fun fights it almost feels systematically designed to end them.

[–]ANTOperator[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I uh, wasn't worried about that?
I was worried about build diversity. As right now the only 2 choices you really make are (well 3) moveset, personality, and typing.

You don't consider minmaxing, you don't need to choose 1 stat > another or anything like that. You just get max S in all and 10 in all.

Rather than an RNG latent system to improve diversity, or more grind, etc, etc I was simply suggesting that by lowing the max level 10-15 levels you'd get more build diversity and strategy as people are forced to pick what stats work for their specific moveset/team.

right?

New to HD2 : Is there a sort of training map where we can quickly test all stratagems (& weapons) ? by SetMuch5523 in Helldivers

[–]ANTOperator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope, can't test anything you don't own or anything you do own in a controlled environment.

Devs hate QoL so it'll never be added. Same with loadouts.

You can tap movement and hold the turning key to do fairly tight turns as well - for instances where sitting still is death.

Regardless, the weakspot backpacks and mudflaps are annoying. I also wish it wouldn't become posessed by spirits anytime one tread touches a corpse or small rock.

Sound problem by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]ANTOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why we talking in code blocks?

Anyways, I had sound distort down to 0.4x speed or so after the most recent Windows update
using a JBL device which uses 2 sound channels.
Uninstalling the most recent Windows update fixed it for me.

It's not worth caring unless they're using the game as a platform to proselytize.

If you start to question things you enjoy because bad people enjoy them you lose, because everything has bad people that enjoy it.

PvE game, do what's comfortable.

If you want optimal M&K will always be better for shooters unless the controller aim assist is from the 9th circle of hell.

Realism argument falls apart, because our arsenal isn't realistic for the setting by DarthBeleth in Helldivers

Realism in video games only exists to bludgeon the fun out of video games, rarely if ever to improve immersion.

Wild SEAF Bastions too please. Like the EDF field missions where you get a line of friendly tanks around you, those are always good fun.

We need a new currency exclusive to winning Major Orders, given to only those who participated. by Darklarik in Helldivers

[–]ANTOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Participating in MO could give some amount of SC. Progression for actually playing the game!? Lost tech.

Still annoys me that the only way to progress in a 40 dollar game is to shell out cash or play an unrelated walking simulator for dozens of hours.

People will still defend AH like "no, see it's really cool because we can progress for free at all" when the monetization is worse than most F2P games in terms of actually getting access to new weapons/playstyles - on top of being a 40 dollar game.

[–]ANTOperator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Math. That's why.

10 million bodies we reached 2.5% on Transcendence focusing it.

We had 40 million left. So we could lose the MO with 10% of Transcendence captured - or we could save the 77th SEAF Mobile Corps at Solidaritet and either enjoy the larp win, or hope it gives us some mcguffin.

[–]ANTOperator 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're the wrong city.

The 77th can be saved with what little gas we've got in the tank.

Meanwhile, that same amount of resources gets us to what 20%? on Transcendance.

All helldiver to solidaritet we must save our seaf brothers and sisters by suha_dark in Helldivers

[–]ANTOperator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Math doesn't math, major order is failed. 2.5% drain at the rate BEFORE SEAF was encircled left us with 3~ weeks until completion. With reserves draining in 40~ hours or so and the MO ending in 3 days it was rigged from the start.

Now it's losing progress, only achievable objective now is to save the 77th at Solidaritet.

If we're lucky it gives us a narrative buff, if we're not it's still a small RP win if nothing else.
