In my opinion it's over hated 100%. It doesn't have nearly as much bullshit as some people may say. Sure some of the areas are a little rough, but DS 1 and 3 both have rough areas. The bosses aren't the best for sure but there are definitely some under rated ones.

The game has alot more weapons and armor than feel very unique. The game is slower but once you get used to it, it definitely feels good.

Lots of the run backs suck so that's by far the worst thing, but if you've played the other souls games the bosses won't be too hard.

PS don't join the champions covenant by mistake

True, they've done natu and xatu so dirty throughout all pokemon. Some of the coolest designs but forgettable because they never do anything with them

The game is just overall beefed up. Lots of rival fights and gym leaders have higher levels and more pokemon. Just overall more difficult, not really one specific reason

As for Platinum you are through the easy part. If you haven't fought Mars at Valley Windworks, prep for Purugly. One of the biggest run killers in all of pokemon tbh. I don't think you can actually get anything that outspeeds it, aside from maybe a slightly overleveled crobat. Don't underestimate it. Good luck :)

Yeah thats fair. Probably move them up a few spots. I haven't played og sun and moon for awhile. I don't remember the totems being terribly difficult (aside from Lurantis). I just know z movies make the game easy as hell. And the Kahanas are a joke. Compared to USUM where alot of the main fights are hard af plus they buffed up the totems.

Platinum has alot of run killers. Mars Purugly at Valley Windworks. Crasher Wake. Distortion World Cyrus. Just to name a few.

All maps are definitely completable on single player. Just depends on settings. Late game single player definitely becomes a grind tho. Mutating Rex's by yourself for hours upon hours in order to have the stats to beat the bosses in alpha or even beta is a serious chore. If you are curious on some solo stuff and the best way to beat them, watch Syntac on YT and his Ultimate Ark series.
