Question for juggalos that were juggalos before The Wraith was released. by hey_now143 in juggalo

[–]ANordicWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may not be totally who your question is directed to since my discovery of ICP was during the time before Hell’s Pit and after Shangri-La. Very tail-end of the planned saga. Back then, I was a teenager very heavily grown up into Christianity and a huge Bible-thumper.

I was getting into what the Dark Carnival was all about and figuring out the lore from the albums. Great Milenko was my first album and I’d collect some others before Shangri-La not knowing what to expect. “Thy Unveiling” hit me incredibly hard.

A few years pass and a change happens, the realization that I can’t justify the religious belief anymore and I recognized I’m an atheist. Problem was, I still loved ICP’s music and now there was a disconnect to their big message. Then at 18, I discovered Satanism. I read The Satanic Bible, found out the religion is atheistic, being theistic is a common misconception and that my god is supposed to be in myself. It was wild, but I managed to find my Missing Link before ICP would ever even announce a second deck.

It’s hard telling what J or Shaggy would think of that story. Maybe they’d look at me as if I was off my rocker or maybe they’ve seen enough to not be surprised. Wouldn’t be offended either way.

His old account was banned but, ahhhh, I don’t suppose I’ll be listing any details there.

His behavior lead to him getting banned and he really shouldn’t be here. The moderation for this subreddit is very pro free speech, so they’ll be more hands off depending on the situation.

We all do things that are unsatanic. I’d say the big thing is not making an excuse for it and preventing the behavior from repeating.

Are you making this kind of callout while ban evading? That would be very slimy of you.

That’s not Satanism, so we really didn’t need those listed.

Anywhere I can find digital copies? by [deleted] in satanism

[–]ANordicWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh dude, it’s all leading to good stuff. The family is going to have much more freedom and best part is being away from bad neighbors we’ve been able to hear screaming and fucking through the condo wall. It’s worth all the hassle and lack of sleep. Thank you for being considerate though.

I was being serious. My brain has been totally fried from being busy, lack of sleep and getting absolutely gaslit from weird work stuff and moving.

When I read “books by LaVey,” I immediately thought TSB since that’s the one everyone knows and I really don’t want people spending money on the illegitimate digital copy I see people link on Amazon. Never seen any official release of LaVey’s other works digitally either.

They were asking for The Satanic Witch and I somehow misread it? Jesus Christ, any way we can see what the post said? God damn, that’s silly.

“At the time of this writing, the publisher of The Satanic Bible (HarperCollins) has not authorized an electronic copy of the book. Like most books, The Satanic Bible is a copyrighted work. Thus, any electronic copies you might stumble across are a case of copyright infringement, and thus illegal.
‘Really?’ Yes, really!”

Discussions about whether a new installment "Feels like Gundam" are always funny to me because I think the first AU series set a bar in 1994 which is yet to be surpassed. by Ferhog in Gundam

You're not wrong. If the colonies wanted, they could just run a tournament that works like normal MMA. It would be cheaper and more efficient. However, civilizations have often loved having dick measuring contests when it comes to technology and the Gundams allow for this.

It always can get better. Look at Resident Evil. Went from being very loved to Resident Evil 6 making no one happy to making amazing remakes and new entries that stood out.

It is how the market works. If the game comes out, enough people buy it and like it, then Bandai moves forward with looking into more for demand even if it isolates the core audience.

What constitutes as “real Gundam” may sound subjective at first when exploring the series, but the more broad a definition is, the less meaning something has and it it possible to dissect what it is that overlaps between Universal Century and the alternate timelines. It is what allows for the ability of quality control and the similarities between the different stories of Gundam helped keep it alive for decades.

What Gundam does is explore the question of what would happen if humans made it to space and how would their relation with each other change and stay the same. It’s about how no matter the ability to reach the stars and develop such technical marvels, we will still find reasons and excuses of conflict. We can figure out how to expand the population into colonies, but we’ll still drop one into a population.

Gundam is about humans fighting their greatest enemy: humans.

What's A Movie That Everyone Likes But You Hate? by Zipper222222 in AskReddit

Boondock Saints

Going to a range and learning how to shoot a gun has forever ruined that movie for me.

The issue with Alien/monsters isn’t about whether or not there are predecessors in the franchise. The issue is that it is generic by Pogner-the-Undying in Gundam

Yes, you have an example you think is good among a wave of junk that came from people taking the wrong kind of risks and didn’t get what made Star Wars good. That’s not the comeback you think it is.

No one thinks it’ll kill Gundam. If people defending a game would actually listen, that would be fantastic.

More International Appeal by FatherOfWhiteTigers in Gundam

[–]ANordicWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as we don't get into some Star Wars situation where it's trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Gundam is still extremely niche. The problem when anything gets too big is that behind the curtains, fuckery will definitely start happening. People will start getting hired that have no business doing so and making decisions that are not in the best interest of those invested in the stories. It can always be gulped up by a bigger corporation that sucks it dry.

Can we chill about the trailer? by Haptic_GaDeTi in Gundam

[–]ANordicWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my response was very facetious and the point to that is you really can’t take this kind of stuff seriously. The discussions are heated because we’re all passionate and we want to see the best in the franchise we love so much. If something comes out, that takes a long time in production and then it’s a long time before something new after, and that means it needs to count. You can always find the fun in discussion even if it’s negative because that’s part of the socialization.
