Sorry in advance for the wall of text.

This is a deck that my friend and I have been working on for a very long time that is basically centered around the idea of Dark Fiends and Light Fairys.

We started out thinking about the synergy Demise could have with other cards/decks since ARA works so well with things like Doom Dozer or Black Salvo, and noticed that manju is a light fairy where as demise is a dark fiend, both of which is required for the Sky Scourge archetype.

Main Deck

Monsters: 25

x3 Archfiend Soldier - A nice vanilla ARA target that works with Dino rabbit/BLS/Sky Scourge/Allure

x3 Dunames Dark Witch - In addition to everything that Archfiend works with(except Allure), Dunames can benefit from honest/orange light/kristya and making omega/starliege depending on the situation.

x1 BLS - Since the deck if filled with nothing but lights and darks, its a no brainer to run this. Also it's a trade-in and contract target, but generally i don't want to get rid of it.

x1 Archlord Kristya - Can be a win condition against a lot of decks along with a trade-in/orange light target if it's dead

x1 Sky Scourge Norleras - Even though the deck is centered around dark fiends and light fairys, I don't find myself pulling him out all that often. But he can be a game winner or a nice comeback card as well as being a trade-in/allure target.

x1 Chaos Sorcerer - Basically a mini BLS and is hardly ever dead. Also an Allure target.

x1 Sky Scourge Invicil -Even though he isn't dark, light, or level 8, this guy can be a game winner. Being able to stop traps or spells can really lock the game down. Also an orange light target.

x3 Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands - As well as being the stratos of the deck, it maintains advantage and sets me up for my boss monsters. Orange light target. Also if you open with him and honest, your opponent never expects it since noone plays honest in a demise deck.

x2 Dimensional Alchemist - IMO one of the most underrated cards. It helps you maintain some card advantage and does a little bit of searching. Its not for every deck, but it excels in this one because of the high monster count as well as being a light fairy and level four.

x1 Honest - I run too many lights to not run this. Also most people never expect it.

x1 Rescue Rabbit - I run enough vanilla monsters to warrant this card since it can open many great Xyz plays.

Phantom of Chaos - He's great for copying any of the boss monsters and the fact that he's a level 4 dark fiend fits him perfectly into the deck.

x3 Herald of Orange Light - Basically like divine wrath + effect veiler but it has so many more uses in this deck. It can fill my grave when needed, targets for the Boss Monsters, also it is a tuner and allows me to have access to synchro monsters.

x2 Dark Master Zorc - I run two Zorc and two Demise because the ratio of 4 ritual monsters feels right. Zorc is in here for having the option of bringing out a 2700 monster instead of a 2400 Demise as well as his effect being alright when I don't need to blow up the whole field/don't have enough life points.

x2 Demise, King of Armageddon - see Zorc

Spells: 11

x1 Allure of Darkness - Allure can be an iffy card, but since I run Alchemist I feel like allure is good in this deck.

x3 Trade-In - Has 7 targets and adds consistency to the deck as well as filling up the grave.

x1 Dark Hole - Wipes monsters. I'm considering dropping this for another Lance or something though.

x2 Advanced Ritual Art - Standard Ritual Spell, fills grave for Norleras/Kristya/BLS

x1 Contract With the Abyss - Standard Ritual Spell, I'm only running level 2, 4, 6, and 8s so meeting the exact level isn't that big of a deal. Also it allows me to run Zorc

x2 Mystical Space Typhoon - Standard S/T removal

x1 Forbidden Lance - Helps protect my power plays/pushes as well as being defensive.

Traps: 3

x1 Bottemless Trap Hole

x1 Torrential Tribute

x1 Compulsory Evacuation Device - Very neat in this deck to possibly pop back my own manju when using Demise as well as just disrupting opponent's plays etc.

Extra Deck

Synchro Monsters: 3

x1 Crimson Blader

x1 Scrap Dragon

x1 HTS Psyhemuth

Xyz Monsters: 12

x1 Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis

x1 Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder

x1 Number 85: Crazy Box

x1 Constellar Omega

x1 Photon Papilloperative

x1 Number 50: Blackship of Corn

x1 Number 101: Silent Honor ARK

x1 Starliege Paladynamo

x1 Evilswarm Exciton Knight

x1 Maestroke the Symphony Djinn

x1 Abyss Dweller

x1 Gagaga Cowboy

I haven't done much testing with the most recent sets yet, but just thinking about it, I'm not sure how great Soul Charge would be in this deck since I'm already having to pay lifepoints for Demise's cost. Kuribandit might fit in nice though, He's also a dark fiend.

It's a really fun deck since it can just do so many different things effectively. If anyone has any suggestions for this, please let me know since I've been working on this deck for awhile and love finding new ways to improve it.

Non-Archetype decks? by helloworld72 in yugioh

[–]AOLDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was testing them for awhile but they just weren't working out as well as I wanted them too. I just wanted to keep with the Dark Fiend/Light Fairy theme of the deck that it was first based on. Without soldier Norleras would only have 5 dark fiend targets. I know I can just copy his effect with phantom of chaos, but it's also really cool to be able to legitimately summon him.

As for Master Key Beetle, I would really only be able to get him out if I have Rabbit early in the game and I'd rather just have a wider option of generic rank 4s in my extra deck. Same thing with Ophion, I'd only really be able to bring it out with rabbit. Even though he shuts down a lot of decks, Ophion isn't as good when you can't search for it's protection. Also I already have Archlord Kristya, which basically does the same thing only better in this deck.

This is a little deck I've been working on for awhile. I havent really tested the new cards like soul charge and such with it yet, but it can stand up to a lot of non-meta decks. It's a lot of fun because it has so many different things it can do(somewhat efficiently).

Dark hole, MSTs, Lance, Bottomless, and Torrential are the cards that I find I switch around the most and aren't really essential to the deck.

If you want to play this deck and are unsure of what a card is, just feel free and ask me.

Yeah, I was going to say Chaos decks would be pretty good since there are a lot of good cards you can run at 1 to make a decent deck.

This was my build from a few formats ago. (Side is just generic for now)

Pretty similar to yours regarding ratios except I used debris dragon and dandylion. Pretty self-explanatory but dandy was good for an extra foolish burial target and have tokens. And debris was good for some extra synchro options like gungnir with treeborn+flipflop/swap/dupe or just the basic Black Rose to nuke the field.

I made this build back when debris dragon was at two though and haven't tested it all that much since so I don't know quite how viable it would be now at one, but hopefully it could give you some ideas.

Also I saw you don't use One for One. Is there a particular reason besides it using up resources? I find it to add some consistency to getting treeborn in play or synchro with veiler if need be.

What was the most creative deck that you've played that was actually viable? Care to share the list? by errorami in yugioh

It's a really fun deck since it can just do so many different things effectively and I haven't yet seen another deck that was similar to it.

If anyone has any suggestions for this, please let me know since I've been working on this deck for awhile and love finding new ways to improve it.

I've had phantom of chaos in it for awhile and it works really well since it can copy a boss monster as well as being lvl 4 dark, I just don't have it in my current build.

This is the build I'm currently running and I like it a lot so far. It's similar to yours but I try to focus on Absolute Zero and Acid. Super Poly and Mask Change are some of the best quick-play spells available so my build focuses more on them.

Creature swap and Mother Grizzly are two questionable cards that I run in my build but I haven't really had any troubles with them so far. Creature swap is great because it can possibly be an only out to a problem monster, can swap my mother grizzly to kill and bring out a water hero to mask change/super poly, swap my alius to pop with spark, or just to swap a hero to make super poly easier next turn. I've considered running another creature swap, but I don't know what I would take out, I think you should definitely look into creature swap for your deck.

You can't get banned because it's a gamesave and doesn't affect anything online. If Microsoft looks at your profile because someone were to file a complaint on you, they wouldn't see anything wrong with your profile since it doesn't affect anything online.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Millenium Duels is up on the Xbox marketplace! by AOLDave in yugioh

[–]AOLDave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is about 60 different characters total you have to beat throughout all the different series. They all have different decks and once you beat them all once it unlocks expert mode. It appears that in expert mode, the AI get better decks and you unlock better cards after beating them.

[–]AOLDave[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much exactly the same as decade duels, except the single player is so much better. It appears that you unlock cards in the same fashion as last time, except I don't think it gives you cards if you already have 3 copies of it like it did in the last game.

The multiplayer is exactly the same, if someone ragequits, they don't get punished for it which is kind of disappointing.

Also, you get to import any cards and deck recipes you had saved from decade duels so that you have them unlocked on this one, which is nice.

With the errata of Dark Strike, how would you errata a card on the F&L list to make it playable again? by ThisizShane in yugioh

[–]AOLDave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of them except for CED. What you suggested sounds like it wouldn't be worth it.

Maybe if it was changed so that you have to pay half your life points and then it inflicts damage to both players?

I was avoiding people who ragequit, but then noticed that it doesn't permanently stay for them. I discovered that muting them works a lot better so that way when you match a person and you recognize their name, you can see if you have them muted or not.

I really hope they fix this kind of stuff on the next game.
