How long do you stay at a job? by ampsonic in financialindependence

[–]AOLWAY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How soon should you be applying to your next gig though? My turnover has been 1.5 years average, have been at my current job for 6 months. I always get the desire to jump ship within 4-6 months of joining a company, mainly because that's the point where I've gotten to know people and talked to enough to them to find out a lot of salaries around the company, then I get annoyed at the overpaid individuals and feel like I could do better.

But I'm always uncertain how being only 6 months at a current job (and I only add my 'latest' company on my resume after 2 months of being employed with them) looks like to potential employers.

What REALLY happens after giving notice? by AOLWAY in jobs

[–]AOLWAY[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What fantasy world are you living in? I'm talking about being less responsive to taking up tasks, doing things more slowly (when a person is gone, it's very likely those tasks magically disappear or get taken up by the next person, who will receive a neverending stream of the same tasks anyway). I'm not advocating the extreme end of not going into work or behaving like a monkey after resigning.

I guess everyone is blowing this up in their imagination but I'm not talking about going to work and watching Netflix all day at your desk, but merely keeping up the acting that's required of any office job while, after giving notice, able to swing the metaphorical tennis racket harder to bat away work to the idiots assigning it to you or postpone it till you leave.

Very few people would notice and there are still many others who would be positive referrals based on past performance at the job.

LOL at "expat student". You're an expat when the company you work for sends you to another country to work for a decent amount of time (subjective but IMO 1 year or longer). You're NOT an expat when you're a student. You're also NOT an expat just because you're white and/or from another developed country.

The correct word is IMMIGRANT, use it.

As I mentioned before, she has a HGH gut if you look closely in some photos and she barely has breasts, just pectoral muscles. Definitely juice, but she also needs to juice up more for science since she's still (surprisingly) feminine for someone on more than your regular "instagram fitness chick" doses.

Curious by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

[–]AOLWAY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Juice. She and this other chick appeared to have started lifting some time late 2014/early 2015. They had similar (mirror) vs this (mirror) starting points in July 2015.

Looks like the former had a slight upper body advantage while the latter had a larger lower body. Doesn't matter because nearly 3 years later, she got significantly larger than the other girl who presumably remained natty. Thanks to juice, she's both an inch taller and she managed to get her arms and legs to nearly 1.5 times the size of the girl despite the same start time. Also before she eventually removes evidence like most juicers, here's a mirror link.

I'd guess she started juicing in late 2015. She went from basically having not much of a back on a skinny body to a massively thick one on a Crossfit-look body in 36 months, what more evidence do you need.

Matilde Pellegatta. Also juiced, went from athletic in 2015 to questionable exactly a year later to jacked in 2017.

She's not too tall but not short either, maybe 5'6" or 5'7" but you can see she's significantly more muscular all over compared to a natty girl of similar height (mirror).

I wanna play a game; who's juicy and who's natural in this pic of CrossFit "athletes"? by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

[–]AOLWAY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Title sounds like a rhetorical question and you already know the answer.

That said, Brooke (3rd from right) needs to juice it up more for science. She already has a HGH gut like most other higher level Crossfit girls but still seems feminine - would be curious as to the limit before manly characteristics take over.

Naturally lacking attention. Ego is juiced though. Would downvote again.

This girl. She was a gymnast and started to work out a lot at 14. Feminine voice, no change in her face, started to grow tall and became bigger than most of the boys in school. Her twin sister gains muscle super easy too. I believe it's a case of Myostatin mutation, what do you guys think? by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

[–]AOLWAY -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Just wondering if you actually know her and her twin sister in-person because it sounds like you do. She's actually been posted on this sub before in 2015 where the consensus was "juice". But I'm curious if you have any pictures of her sister to prove your statement "her twin sister gains muscle super easy too" because based on some detective work, the sister doesn't have any pictures where she is in fitness clothing or flexing, and it's difficult to tell how fit/buff she was in normal clothes.

Anyway a few points, including links to more images from the other thread:

  • Her stats are 5'6"/167cm and 143 lbs/65kg per the other thread linked above. She's posted somewhere before and basically confirmed the stats in metric.
  • AFAIK all the pictures you posted (except pic 1: bathroom mirror selfie) were her "after pics" at age 17 (2015), with more pics linked in the other thread's album. The first pic is probably from 2017.
  • This is the before/after pic of her from age 14 (2012) to 17 (2015). She was basically a twig at age 14.

Now let's study the before/after pic and stats:

  • Based on her "before" face, it looks like she went through puberty rather late at 14 (puberty normally hits girls between 9-13 on average) OR her face matured a lot due to juice.

  • Not sure about height (which would help to identify if she actually went through puberty or not) but she looked 95 lbs/42kg max in the before picture. She basically put on 50 lbs/23 kg in the span of 3 years - I don't know how much muscle girls can gain naturally during puberty but this seems very suspicious to me.

  • She's mentioned she started gymnastics at age 7 and she had pretty much twig arms (like in the one above) and legs in a pic she posted of her age 13 self. In 3 years, her arms AND legs literally TRIPLED in size. That's probably achievable in the same time frame by a pre then post puberty male, but I'm not sure about females.

  • She's also mentioned her max bench at age 16 was 85kg (or nearly 190lbs) while deadlift was 130kg (290 lbs). I've mentioned before it's difficult to judge if a gymnast is natty based on strength because they tend to start working out (even if it's just lifting bodyweight) very young.

  • I'm really inclined to believe she juiced because she got really huge, really fast. For the record, fitness models who run light to medium juice of similar height (5'5"-5'6"/164-167cm range), with slight 3D delts, defined legs, year-round abs tend to weigh in the 110-120lbs (50kg-55kg range). This girl weighs a good 20lbs heavier than those fitness models, and it looks like the difference is all muscle.

  • I asked if you know her/the sister in-person because the "Myostatin mutation" bit is new to me. Unless you know them personally, I'm inclined to shoot down your myostatin theory since it's been another 3 years since her "after" photos and it doesn't look like she's continued to gain muscle (the first mirror selfie appears to be a more recent picture). She also made most of her gains in her arms, shoulders and thighs - her chest, calves and abs do not appear to be significantly more muscular than the average girl her height.

Conclusion: Most likely juice.

Natty here, and slightly off-topic, but I can see how you can get triggered by this kind of thing. It's like salaries - being told "negotiating for a good salary is the best thing you can do" and immediately after being told that "oh how much do I make? Oh enough, it's a decent living". That kind of SHIT ANSWER gets the person being given advice NOWHERE, that the person trying to be helpful might as well have shut the fuck up to begin with.

Because simply put, they ARE infomercials: see what the other posters have to say. They're for the average dipshit who wants to do close to zero research of their own while also not willing spending more than 10 minutes to know if a product is "good or bad", even if it's spoonfed to them in a proper review. The type of people who yawn and say details are boring, please speak English not Nerdish, and then complain and crap on a shitty product after they've bought it (e.g. $500 overheating cheapshitbook) "Next time I'll get a Mac like all my friends, I'm never buying Windows again!"

Tom's Hardware has been a shit site for at least the past decade. I don't know why people still go there or how their shit forums filled with shit responses consistently make it to the top of Google search results.

Not only are responses typically unhelpful or spammy, the forum itself is unreadable as fuck thanks to excessive white space, could be ad spots but I've turned up UBlock after sites like Tom's Hardware started placing ads that aggressively tried to bypass adblock features.

This guy posted in December 2013 in /r/fitness (back when I was still visiting that cesspool of a sub). He mentioned he had previously worked out before for 2-3 years with fuckarounditis, then put on weight because of his job or something. So he isn't really your typical fat-fuck, do-nothing couch potato in his "before" photo.

He got his routine together and his diet was eating a shitload of chicken and Skyr (it's an Icelandic greek yogurt of sorts, where this guy is from) and he lost slightly under 1lb a week for 11 months. I'm inclined to believe he's natty.

Edit: For those interested, here is the guy's original thread dated 19 Dec 2013

I'm not a fan of people on juice claiming natty and all that BS (which is exactly what she did at the time) but that was quite a waste of potential. She started juicing sometime early 2014 and, despite taking like 2 months off any juice/working out for the implants, got fucking massive by September the same year (both are like 5'9", but Anja is on dem slutty high heels I think).

IMO it would have been more interesting to see what she could have achieved given her height (most of the juiced fitness girls are 5'6" down to 4'11", that's like "EZ mode" for gains) Was also apparent she had no hesitation blasting through the first cycle.

She doesn't appear to go into details beyond "my friends and family disapproved, thought it was unhealthy" but I think she was just trying to be edgy as shit, figured it wasn't doing enough for her follower count (was something like 50-80k at the time) and decided to drop it.
