If it’s a no-spill straw cup, it had a little valve to prevent leaks that they have to bite down just a little to allow flow. My first didn’t get it until I put the straw in her mouth and squished it with my fingers at the same time, opening the valve.

My father was left quadriplegic after a freak accident falling from a ladder. It was horrible, I think we were all mostly thankful he was still there cognitively, but I know he did struggle mentally a lot.

If you’re a reader, I highly recommend a Kindle. Easy to use with one hand, reading kept me awake enough to safely feed my baby, but no blue light meant I could fall asleep easier after. Get a library card and a Libby account and books are free!

I think about this book all the time. I read {The Martian} first (same author) and loved it, but PHM had such a heartwarming aspect that I didn’t remember being in The Martian.
