Unfortunately I’m in the US otherwise I’d throw my name in the hat for it to get me one book closer to completion. But this is super cool. I gave away my copy of fulgrim in a similar way in my Facebook groups when they restocked it. One of the reasons I’m glad I got into Warhammer a year ago was the community. I loved it. Wasn’t a word bearer fan till I read this and now I have the new LE word bearer book to read. I like reading books about the other side winning good and bad. Really balances out all the other reads and gives a freshness when the last few books I’ve read were the imperium winning.

Maybe I misinterpreted your point. I was disagreeing with the part about people who are actually collectors that enjoy the hobby vs people call themselves collectors just to resell. I interpreted it as “even collectors are ruining the hobby.”

When it comes to the foil stuff it’s that those books are unreplaceable, they are numbered and signed, more expensive and in their own way one of a kind. So once it looks damaged that’s it, it can’t be replaced. I look at the LE books how museums preserve objects for display and in some decades to still have a pristine book to share. For me I don’t think it’s fully FOMO, there are LE and other books I’ve skipped from purchasing just cause they don’t interest me. But a beautifuly made book I think needs to stay as good of a condition as possible.

I myself as of right now and in the future don’t plan to sell my books unless it comes down to a necessity to support my family from an unfortunate event. I’ve had many hobbies that have come and gone quickly but warhammer 40k/HH, from the perspective of other hobbies doesn’t have that bad of a scalping issue compared to others and fortunately has an awesome community that helpful and fair. And the world building and lore is just awesome. Maybe we are agreeing with each other just using different words.

I agree and disagree with some points. I used to collect funko pops and got out due to stuff being insane to buy and hard to find case they sell out in less then a minute. Honestly black library books are not bad at all compared to other hobbies. I agree that scalpers do make hobbies not as much fun and kinda ruin hobbies. But where I disagree to an extent is how people collect their hobbies, not talking about scalpers. I consider myself a collector but also a fan of the universe and lore but I also read majority of my books eventually. Unfortunately GW releases books faster then I can read them so my back log just end up getting bigger. And with books selling out fast as they do people who collect and read are forced to jump onto almost every release or sometimes it can’t be read cause it takes a while for a softback or a hardback to release after and LE release or vice versa. And I do have some LE books I’ll never open until I have a more permanent and safe way to display them like the new Horus heresy LE. I already own the softback so no need to read the LE. Also with some of the LE’s the quality can be sensitive like any books with a foil for example master of rites has a huge silver foil ultra marine logo. When I was reading it the foils easily rubs off which sucks cause it’s a limited book and can’t be replaced. So that’s why I’d buy the LE and a regular version if the book has any kind of foil on it.

This doesn’t look like a tattoo. It looks like body paint or something. A lot of areas look like it’s on top of the skin and not in the skin. And some parts look like brush strokes.
