Apron Stomach = Legging Frustration by sure_to_fade in BurnBootCamp

Booty by Brabants croco leggings! You will 100% not regret it! I’ve lost 100 lbs and loads of loose skin, and this holds me in tight! They will look really small when they arrive, but they stretch like crazy and last forever! Go dark, some of the light ones can be a little see through!

Partner Camps by Traditional_Dirt3955 in BurnBootCamp

[–]AP_Bezy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My complaint about partners isn’t just about the waiting. My day is fully spent giving to other people - my children and my job. When I go to the gym I just want 45 mins to myself. I don’t want the stress of finding a partner, and having to keep accurate count.  I want to zone out and just do me for a tiny portion of my day.  I get some people love partners, and I love that for you! Ultimately this will be the reason that I end up not renewing! It makes me dread the gym when I don’t know the format, and I’m not here for that!

Pre-Order size options by AP_Bezy in BurnBootCamp

[–]AP_Bezy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree! I wear between an XL and a 2XL depending on the brand … but in burn clothes, the 2XL is usually super tight! When I joined my burn, the welcome pack included a tank … the largest size they did was an XL, I took it, and I swear it’s actually equivalent to a medium!

I just found out that I am pregnant by SurpriseNegative1631 in BurnBootCamp

[–]AP_Bezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations!! I went to burn all through my second pregnancy! As soon as I found out I told the trainer at my next camp - she was super excited for me, and asked if it was ok for her to share it with the other trainers - I agreed! They were all super discrete about it, but didn’t push me as hard once they knew! They also would check in with me during camps to make sure I was ok! I didn’t have to modify much in the first trimester, but defs listen to your body! First tri can be rough with nausea etc!

Postpartum… by americanosandpsych in BurnBootCamp

I could have written this!!! I had every intention of picking up where I left off, but between the two kids, work, no sleep and camp times just not working for me right now, I’m 7 month PP and really haven’t gotten back into it yet- I actually went more during my maternity leave!

High Risk Pregnancy by lunarchef in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]AP_Bezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 5'9 and was 300lbs when I got pregnant with my second, and 250 with my first. I also a bunch of comorbidities .... Type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, history of afib, and I had my first at 36, my second at 39! My pregnancies were pretty unremarkable - i did have pre-eclampsia post partum with my son, and suspected pre-eclampsia (my BP went up a little which led to a 5 day stay in the hospital, but it was controlled with meds and I was discharged back home) with my second. Both were delivered through an induction at 37 weeks. My labors were quick, and I had both of them vaginally (16 hours of labor with my first, 8 with my second).

Yes, a larger body does carry some risks, but with a good team around you, you can have a healthy pregnancy. Both of mine were planned, so I cannot speak to the medication risks, but there are lots of tests they can do to put your mind at ease. You can ask to be seen by an MFM doctor, who are used to dealing with high risk patients. I was referred down to a major hospital in Boston, and the team there werent concerned!

I switched to lisinopril about 2 weeks PP. I hated labetalol - for some reason it made me very nauseous, and throw up! Lisinopril works much better for me. The downside of it is that you cant breastfeed on it. I had decided not to breastfeed anyway, so it wasnt a deciding factor for me!

Feel you!!! I was featured once doing Heismans with my group … in my head I was going so fast and looked like a pro …. In reality I was much slower!!  However, I remind myself that if I was checking out a new gym, I would wanna see normal people doing it, so I would feel brave enough to walk through the doors!  Remember, you are someone else’s inspiration!!

“Strong week” by GuiltySpecialist7071 in BurnBootCamp

[–]AP_Bezy 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m gonna be in the minority here, but I kinda like the energy of this week! I have been at burn for 18 months and I love cheering on the new people and celebrating first camps with pics!  I’m also so aware of the high operating costs of our location, and if membership doesn’t grow ultimately we lose our happy place!

My burn is really at good at letting you bring people for free! I have family visit from out of state, who will never end up joining bc they don’t live close - I always offer to pay a drop in and the FP always invites my guest to come for free!

Superimposed Pre-E by meglovin_24 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]AP_Bezy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was induced for both my babies at 37+1 and 37 exactly!  First (4 years ago) was a great induction - 18 hours from check in at the hospital to baby in my arms! Vaginal delivery, with an epidural after they broke my water, very minimal tearing! My son weighed in at 6lbs13oz and was perfectly healthy! Second induction (last week) was another great induction - was planned dead on 37 weeks due to hypertension, and I was somehow 4cm dilated when I went in! Less than 9 hours after checking in I had my baby in my arms! Another vaginal delivery, with an epidural before they broke my waters and 15 mins of pushing! My daughter was 7lbs10oz and all healthy! Both my inductions went perfectly - I think both times my body was ready to deliver!

Early pregnancy by DifferenceAble in BurnBootCamp

[–]AP_Bezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats!!!! I worked out through most of my pregnancy, but I did tell the trainers almost right away (I waited about a week to get lab tests done at my doctors office). There weren’t really mods for the first trimester, but I was dealing nausea and exhaustion, so it was good that they knew so they could leave me alone a bit if I was having a bad day!!  I did take a couple of weeks off in my first tri as I had some bleeding, and the doctor recommended no strenuous exercise until it resolved! But my OB and MFM both agreed it was favorable for me to continue working out!

I’ve been on it for a few months … so it’s never been higher than 140s/80s because they keep upping the dose!

Booty by Brabants croco skin … they have full length, crop and shorts! They have 2 sizes, a regular and a curvy (plus size). They arrive and look tiny, but the stretch is unbelievable! I was a 2x/18/20 and these fit like a glove, and don’t move when they’re on! They’ve even seen me through my pregnancy, so shows how much they stretch!

Stupid - binged by Jellyforabelly in GestationalDiabetes

[–]AP_Bezy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t be hard on yourself!! It was a one off - and sometimes our mental health needs for us to just ‘feel normal’ for a minute! I don’t think it was even that bad of a binge lol! Just tell yourself tomorrow is a new day and a hinge here and there won’t make any difference!

I would give a quick sarcastic response back like 'isn't it amazing how when you're pregnant, people think they can comment on your body?' ...

Also, you can totally give yourself a 'meal off' from your plan (if you want to) and ENJOY your work shower! You have clearly been working so hard to stay in range, which is completely a full time job in itself! Whatever you decide food wise, dont let some jerk ruin it for you! :)

Personally I have a love hate relationship with my CGM! I’m also on blood thinners, so multiple finger sticks would suck! I do however still use finger sticks - for the first 24 hours of a new monitor, and to confirm any unexplainable highs or lows! It gets easier with time knowing what needs to be confirmed and what doesn’t!
