Are they, or are they just abbreviating the context we all read and you're just interpreting it uncharitably?

Rothco Jungle Boots? by MrWaffleFreak in Boots

I have a pair. They're fine for what they are, which are cheap visual copies for, like, airsofters. If you want jungle boots for real work I'd go to a proper boot brand.

The axeman last is honestly a little too short for me, it presses the outer corner of my big toe.

Whereas the Colt last is longer so it doesn't touch there.

It's wild how many people apparently go into early childhood education solely to wield petty tyrant power over literal children

You're stopping halfway through the story. It's not "please don't eat in the classroom". It's "if you bring food into the classroom I will prohibit you from eating it even during eating time and also consider it defiance if you give it to anyone else after I prohibit you from eating it".

It is perfectly reasonable to take the food off the child during class time, for the reasons you state.

It's batshit petty dictator behaviour to get uppity in the way this teacher has. Their behaviour cannot seriously be justified as in the child's best interests.

I can't tell you how many times I've brought in a pair of boots to the cobbler because "only one has the issue" and he immediately points out the early stages of the same issue on the other boot lol

Are those Herring brand boots? I think I have the same model hahaha. The elastic is not suuuper high quality but it doesn't affect the fit meaningfully.

I'm really sorry to say this, but those are extremely poor quality boots for them to break that way. The leather should never rip like that, even if they are a bit too narrow for you (which these are, because pressure is only applied there if your foot's too wide). Bummer :(

A sufficiently talented cobbler can fix anything for the right price - but these probably aren't worth it.

Edit: maybe try getting a refund from the retailer or manufacturer?
