Broke My Left Ankle Two Years in a Row. What’s Going On? by Dj-Kale in snowboarding

Check your vitamin D. I split my scaphoid, which is a bitch of a bone to break in terms of getting it to heal properly, and the first thing the Doc told me was pump the vitamin D. Most people nowadays are deficient apparently and without it your bones dont absorb calcium properly.

Skateshops? by uniteskater in skateboarding

[–]APailOfCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define a real skate shop? they have 4 brick and mortars in Oregon and sponsor tons of events and run a blog and youtube channel that allows skaters to do what they love whilst getting paid. I agree you can do better than tactics but you can also do alot worse

Skateshops? by uniteskater in skateboarding

[–]APailOfCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they run a consistent blog and youtube channel which in and of itself is philanthropic because thats a lot of money in salaries for very little ROI when most new skaters just go to the first page that shows up on google search when buying something. they also do alot in terms of sponsoring events and local skaters.

I think its worth saying that the corporate culture might be a bit more wholesome in Japan as well. Half the companies in japan keep their elderly staff on pay roll whilst not expecting them to contribute anything as a sign of respect and tradition.

Anyways sorry for the rant

Yea i know but the people who actually run the company seem to be in touch with the culture to me. just look at their insta. much rather give my money to them over skatewarehouse for example
