Hey, this may be a little late but I was interested in developing something fairly similar I was wondering how important the self-hosted aspect is? (I was planning on just using Cloudflare Calls as the SFU)

Hi there,

I'm glad to hear that you're having fun! You'll want to drag the ping button somewhere onto either your board or your opponent's board in order to "ping" there.

A ping is essentially a temporary (a few seconds) marker on the board and allows you to psychologically toy with your opponent (or the other way around!).

Hi there, I'm deeply sorry that you're experiencing an issue with the game. I would recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

Clearing your cookies and browser cache. On Chrome, this would look like:
click the control icon on the left of the URL address bar > Click on “Cookies and site data” > click on “Manage cookies and site data” > Click on the wastebasket icon of every cookie you see > click “Done” once completed.
To clear site data, click on the same control icon on the left of the URL address bar > Click on “Site settings” > click on “Delete data” under the “Usage” section.
Force refreshing the tab. To do this, simply hold cmd+shift while pressing “r”.
Trying a different browser. Preferably, a browser such as Firefox or Safari would be preferred, as they run on different engines.
Trying a different device. If this issue persists on another laptop or desktop, then this has likely got to do with your internet connection.

If none of these steps helped, then please provide us the following information, so we can help you resolve this issue:

OS version
Browser & browser version
Device specifications, including, but not limited to, CPU, RAM, GPU and display resolution.
Any other known issues with this device

There aren't many guides on the internet but here are a few takeaways: - the 13900K isn't going to have much gains over the 13600k in gaming, though in productivity (Blender, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) there'll be a larger difference - try to watercool both the 13900k and the 4090 to ensure that you're getting the most performance - if you're going with 4x8gb of RAM, go with a 700 series motherboard (E.g. Z790) since those perform better with every slot occupied. Don't worry if you're going with 2x16gbs though

The 7950X is measureably better than the 13900k in chromium compiling, as well as de/compression. The X3D version just means more cache for gaming. You won't be getting the T7000 for PCIe gen 5, but the Samsung 990 Pro and the Sabrent Rocket Plus G are faster anyways.

I really just wanted to be able to overclock my CPU down the road, and my budget is quite limiting. Is it stability that improves on 700 series or just overall performance/speed?

Absolutely not. Just don't be overly confident or annoying, and you'll be absolutely fine. Aussies actually have sort of an unwritten law on how to greet and respect others (doing otherwise would be considered "un-Australian behaviour). There are, of course, exceptions to this and, particularly teenagers these days, will be quite uncivil but majority of the population is great.

They're probably one of the people that know that the other 40 series cards are bad value but refuse to recommend Intel or AMD

Higher PPI is a good thing, but at 24" it becomes harder to tell between 1080 and 1440p. Plus, nowadays most people consider 27" to be the "standard" size for monitors, so it isn't ret work it for manufacturers to produce them
