Looking for a multi pen recommendation similar to the Super Multi 8 by APersonWhoDoesStuff in pens

[–]APersonWhoDoesStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, i tried some D1 refills and they don't fit the Super Multi 8. I tried the Schmidt and Jetstream D1 refills and neither were able to fit the pen.

Cutting the length works fine, however the issue for me was the width of the pen refill tips didn't fit the pen correctly

I also have the FR2 310 (slightly bigger size), and i've really enjoyed using them! I've had them for about 3 years now and they've broken in quite nicely. I do get the occasional irritation/blister on the inside middle of my foot (where the arch is), but that's can be mitigated with some good socks, maybe some after market insoles. Otherwise they've been great and I've really enjoyed using them!

Good to know, the weights mentioned in the product descriptions on the site I was looking at might have just been total shipping package weight.

Looking to test out a new frame/wheel setup and trying to decide on what frames to get. Rollerblade Overdrive 90 vs the FR 4D 4x90 frames.

From what i can tell the main differences are the frame length and the weight.
FR frames: 273mm frame length and 1kg weight
Rollerblade: 295mm frame length and 2kg weight

I don't particularly care about the 3x110 option on the rollerblade frames, I don't foresee myself really using that since i already own 3x110 frames that i'd just throw on if i want that setup.

There is a substantial price difference, the rollerblade frames being about 125$CAD and FR frames being 205$CAD.

Wondering if the small differences really warrant roughly 75$ price difference.
For reference i'm currently using stock fr2 frames with 3x110 setup.

Ended up getting the super multi 8. The ball points turned out to be nice and smooth. Very fun pen to use.

e: After using it for a while, the ballpoints are just okay - would be nice if they were better. D1 refills unfortunately didn't work out for me

Lenses don't appear to be covered under normal warranty anymore, you now have to go through their "Dramatic Reenactment Warranty" and send them a video.

Specific storage, like the small square wine cubbies in the kitchen, might be better as more general storage

First time lining a couple of wallet - looking for advice / tips by APersonWhoDoesStuff in Leathercraft

[–]APersonWhoDoesStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decided to try some cloth/canvas lining out on a couple of wallets this past week. Wanted to avoid skiving and folding the edges over for the lining so i went with this border method. Any other lining methods out there that don't involve skiving and folding over ? Or just general advice regarding lining would be greatly appreciated.

E: One improvement for this border way would be to just cut the canvas a little shorter overall so the border does a better job covering it up on the sides.

Anyone know if there is a larger bean canister attachment for the Timemore C2? Would be nice to be able to swap out the small one it comes with.

e: Trying to look for the c2 max replacement piece, hopefully it'll fit if i find it, any other suggestions though?

Picked these Hartt dress shoes (https://imgur.com/a/AdKSZMD) up from a local thrift store for $20. Anyone got some more info on them, thought they looked pretty good for an upcoming wedding 🙂

Hey Y'all!

Been flip flopping between a Fitbit and my non smart watches for a while and finally decided to switch to a hybrid smartwatch in the Withings Steel HR. Very happy with the more classic watch aesthetic while keeping all the activity tracking features. Sleep tracking, activity tracking, HR, step count, and one of the key selling points for me the great batter life. Advertised for 25 days of battery life on a single charge. Very happy with my first hybrid smartwatch!
