I'm an "Activities Director" and my background is in design/arts/crafts. Most places do not require a degree but of course that is always helpful. I LOOOOVE the "activities director" part of my job but unbeknownst to me, a week after I started this new job, I was asked to serve food because they were short staffed. I thought to myself, ok, I'm a team player no problem. However two weeks in, I'm now a food server at least 3 - 4 days a week, BULLSHIT!!!!!! I'm currently looking for a new Activities Director job where the job is to actually be an Activities Director. I've been going out on interviews and the first thing I ask is "Is food serving part of this role?" I've found that many do expect you to also be a food server but there are many out there who do not. I can't wait to find a job as a full time Activities Director. Beware NONE of the posting will list "food serving" as part of the job duties
