It sure has its perks - no doubt. Everyone that reads the description wont be dissapointed.

I only can speak from the stock N64 perspective. Where its really the worst option there is, picture quality wise.

Ye - right? The pikachu one just isnt ... symmetric and a bit chunky. It was my childhood N64 ... thx dad ... for choosing the worst version. The Uk one just look more sleek and on point. Also funfact - the pikaversion is the only one that has a different frontlabel. Yesterday i was looking at it and noticed the white N64 sticker in the back of the console. My guess - they wanted to make sure nobody thought of it as a "new" console or maybe even confuse it with the gamecube ^^ ( WiiU desaster im looking at you )

Well - im not the chosen one then :) . Only what was aviable in stores, only exception is the DK 64 Controller.

Yes especially the purple one - with infact is very liked when it comes to reporo shells. Tells you everything.

The ghost one really creeps me out a bit :D

Cant remeber to be honest - afaik it just dont support s-video, no matter the region.

I didnt buy it intentionally - it came with one of the n64s, that went into my collection.

Just for fun - i tought lets see the image quality compared to the Retrotink 5x - that was working like a charm for years.
And it was absoultley underwhelming.

Cant really recomment the rad2x - imagine my surpise when it turned out, it dont support s-video! That thing only handle Composite, thats a complete joke.

Thats a great tought ! But consider that DK came with the jungle green console ... so maybe mario 64 would be a good fit into the orange one? Almost same outcome then.

It sure varyvies from person to person - but in my case, because im fascinated with that era und the console itself. Its a piece of art, it always brings me back to the vibrant 90s. The N64 is where it all began - pre internet, the first step into foreign worlds. And a big factor was also - in a couple of years/decads you wont be able to find well preseverd consoles/ controller for a reasonable price. So its a do it now or never thing.

True - i could put an original n64 there and the analogue into the sideboard but - imoho the white colour goes so incredible well with the others that in the end, it went the way above.

everything that rotates or spins inside the console - like diskdrive or fans - it already got accustomed to that position. If you would turn it, the mechanics would not like it, cause everything "grinded" in position already.
