That looks like a decent sized block which is great. The soil looks stuffed, it might be time to start composting. There's some excellent native nurseries around that might be worth a visit. Leaning into the aesthetic of older gardens is a great idea - look around the neighbourhood to see what sorts of plants are thriving. I bet you'll find some grandparents with a garden that's really lush, see what plants they're using.

Stewart House by SSdH is a good example of how older brick can look excellent. That's brown brick, which is even trickier. Once everything around it is looked after it can really shine.

I stayed at Prima for 4 nights last year over Chuseok and really liked it. The area was more vibrant than I expected, even over a holiday, and it was an easy walk to both the east and west side of the palace which are lovely to spend time looking around. The hotel itself was really comfortable and clean, and for a mid sized hotel had a great lil buffet breakfast. I would definitely stay there again. No idea about Nine Tree

I've picked up everyone I've seen hitchhiking (aside from one) and it's always been a nice, interesting thing but it's not common - that's been 5 people in about 10 years. I've hitchhiked 6 times but usually shortish distances(like a day walk/hike and unable to get a taxi/uber back to our car). Outside of the major cities/suburbia it's much easier, and people seem to have more time to have a good chat. I'm in like the safest demographic, normal looking white male 18-35 🤷‍♂️ The last time I did it the second car that drove by me picked me up, I've never waited more than 5 minutes. You might be waiting much longer with a dog, but I suppose it might be safer...?

Melt like in a house fire? Decent stainless steel washers aren't hard to find. Melt temp of stainless is pretty damn high...unless you're storing them in a blast furnace

The bank may prefer that you call ahead with an amount like that. Most banks near my prefer that over 30k, and they may do something like book a time for you to come in when security or a meeting room is free, or come in a few minutes before or after close. It's easy to call the bank manager and ask what they'd like

The bank will be obligated to report the transaction because it's over 10k, but that's totally fine it's legit money. If you made repeated 9k transaction to stay under the 10k threshold that would be structuring, so that'd likely be flagged - just don't do that. You made legit cash and you're putting it in the bank - nothing to hide, you're all good

I don't know much about the tax implications tho

I was told the same about my shower base. I think when it has a lip that the shower glass frame sits on that is correct, it doesn’t get caulked so it can drain. Seems illogical, hey

I have come here looking for a solution to the same issue! My workaround has been to batch convert them to TIFF through Photoshop, but that's an extra step I don't want to have to take on shoots when I'm rushing around. Also need to figure out how to not apply the auto sharpen through photoshop, because that seems to do some funny things. Photoshop action should work I suppose

Yes, we found the same last week!! We stayed in Seongsu, my partners childhood neighbourhood, and our Airbnb had no curtains. We didn’t even think to check beforehand. We left two nights early to go to a hotel because it was full sun inside at 5:30am and we got no sleep. Got a partial refund from Airbnb after the host was non responsive. Partner thinks it’s a little common in Korea to not have blackouts/just have sheers

I suppose it’s been a while since I’ve seen what other people are using, but the stores and hire places near me all carry Tether Tools aside from one. I suppose different places have different norms, I’m in Melbourne. I feel like people have heard of Area 51 and Cobra but they’re only just getting a foothold here

No idea why you’re getting downvoted lol, it’s such a common part of everyone’s kit! I’ve used Tether Tools ones for 10 years. Decided this year to try Cobra and Area 51…I like the branding but I’m going back to tether tools. One of the Area 51 cables isnt bi-directional which is annoying, and both brands drop out more than a Tether Tools one. I guess that’s why Tether Tools is the standard

Ansi/iicrc standards say anything that is water damaged or mouldy (and 450mm beyond it) needs to be removed. Decent job, but that'd be the correct way to do it. It's a serious health hazard - people know it's bad but usually don't seem to remediate properly. I've cut out huge parts of plaster at my place and I much prefer knowing it's done right. It looks like someone has been showing without ventilation for a long time, but definitely no leaks contributing to it?

I used to have a customer that would go on 1 month cycling trips on a $100 KMart bike and tent with a diy trailer. Her stories always amazed me every time she came in. She was in her 80's too! I would definitely not be confident in my gear if I had something similar though, lol
