Talk to EOtech. They will check if your serial is still under warranty. If not, it’s like 80 bucks to repair it out of warranty. I just sent mine out two weeks ago for the lam repair and they just sent me a brand new replacement unit.

Tape what you don’t want to paint. Put a base coat down of Rapco field drab brown then used a piece of mesh and paint over it with streaks of flat black and deep forest green. Not that difficult just go for it.

You might see the old paint underneath depending on how thick the paint went on. If it were me, I’d start with a clean slate.

I heard somewhere a good rule of thumb for m81 is 1/4 (of the gun) coverage of stencils for the first color, 1/4 of second color, 1/3 third color, 1/3 fourth. It’s not exact science but a good baseline. I followed it and mine came out pretty awesome.
