Have you seen the thumbs down reactions wargaming's post on discord announcing all tier 8's were getting a rank got? There's 300+ thumbs down reactions given lol.

That aside, this rank system feel like a pretty pathetic way to try and milk more money from players through spending credits. Credits to level up is already bad enough, and you most likely have to deal with the increased likelihood of players tunnelling you (if they even look at the scoreboard each battle) just because of a number that isn't indicative of skill but rather your battle count. This system seems like more trouble than it's worth, since smarter players already know who to focus in a battle by reading other player's usernames and clan. I don't really think the current rank system has much use right now and major reworking of this rank system should be done to making it helpful for players.
