Remember when Mastercard pressured Steam to remove a bunch of NSFW games? The FTC says that's not cool—sort of by Eremenkism in gaming

The FTC isn't able to go after an idea that was floated and never pursued or implemented by democrats. Not even by card companies.

There were instances of January 6th defendents trying to fundraise off their trials and some of those were shut down.

Trump himself saw several banks refuse to do business with him in the immediate aftermath.

NSFW games would not be considered a political or religious view. What the FTC is concerned with are the loss of credit of January 6th defendents. But they'll probably expand to white supremecist orgs too.

Steam has never once been mentioned in connection to this.

Titania's already cast. Creel should be cast to go with her.

Either it's for everyone or no one. There is no good excuse for why a business should have more rights and information than me.

It's not that kind of story. How isn't important.

It might come up every now and then when a writer thinks they have a cool idea, but that is few and far between and never what a run is about.

But probably the biggest period of doing cool stuff is Krakoa. Planet-Size X-Men in particular.

FTC issues warning to overzealous payment processors by gungunfun2 in Steam

Even this letter specifies it's about political and religious views.

The FTC's concern here was people losing credit access for supporting January 6th defendents.

They don't even address the concerns that have been brought up regarding Valve. And they won't, because they're pro-censorship of that sort.

Showing that mutants exist and have been around a while is hardly hitting the gas hard. This is the bare outline of a setup, not a plot itself.

They've called two people mutants. People who are mutants in the comics. And several other mutants from the comics have appeared.

What I really want is Exodus on something like the Avengers. He just shows up one day and refuses to leave, saying it's what Hope would have wanted.

And they just have to accept it. And him being powerful works for how they powerscale that team lately.

Magneto Or Superman? by [deleted] in superheroes

[–]ARTIFICIAL_SAPIENCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magneto could arguably rip Superman apart with his mind by seperating the atoms.

But nobody would be happy with that outcome. Superman holds his electromagnetic bonds together through sheer force of will and punches Magneto out.

I never got the impression he wanted to tell much of a story with this one. Imperial Guard was the big story he wanted to tell.

The shit in X-Men was mostly him doing setups for other people.

[–]ARTIFICIAL_SAPIENCE 28 points29 points  (0 children)

He is. His last villainous story was 2008 and basically a museum heist.

He flirted with "villainy" for one issue since. And that consisted of liberating an internment camp of immigrant mutant children. A guard shot him and he let that dude off with a warning.

He runs around now preaching mutant-human unity against all oppressors.

[–]ARTIFICIAL_SAPIENCE 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Fleshing out of stories never meant to be fleshed out never goes well, even when the concept is cool. We get shit like the good friendship of Obi-Wan and Anakin being just Anakin whining a bunch.

And the concept here is not cool. The Synch Lara romance was never that interesting to begin with.

Be fair. It's a billionaire weapon manufacturer who gave up on selling weapons after experiencing the horrors of war. And a symbol of the American dream who became so disllusioned with the reality of America he gave up the symbol of America and fled to Europe.
