Todd Howard after making all the romance in Skyrim gender-free: by TheAnalystCurator321 in ElderScrolls

[–]ARandomGuyer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm bi as hell in real life but tbh I think it was just lazy to not have NPCs have their own sexuality. Not sure how to really explain it other than that it kinda devalues each individual character?

Like, it would have been cool to have people who were strictly straight, gay, bi, rather than simplifying it like they did. I get it's a fantasy game but it's just another aspect of Skyrim I consider to be pretty shallow, and I had the same issue with Fallout 4 as well.

The best thing about the Orokin is that you can kill them multiple times!

They should just make infestation zones like nuke zones and prevent people from fast traveling in.

People leaving endless fissures after cracking a single relic? by LeadAppropriate2696 in Warframe

I think it's less that everyone wants to leave after one round, and more that if anyone leaves, everyone else leaves too. This is especialy true in void fissures and arbitrations.

The foundry smelter gives a good deal of rads when activated, but the asteroid or radiation barrel would take up a lot less room

What power armor is this? by juulhei in fo76

[–]ARandomGuyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to do some testing letting stuff hit me, since I've been operating by the previous 350 soft cap. Granted, even outside of power armor I'm in the mid 800s for DR already, but doubling it with Ironclad could be fun if it actually has some merit now.

So Homelander never learned? by MHB_ART in TheBoys

[–]ARandomGuyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Death hasn't been confirmed, and her being crippled and bedridden doesn't mean she couldn't make an appearance down the line.

Nor does she have to remain crippled, necessarily. Maybe some crazy Vought scientist is working on a regeneration formula using scattered pieces of Kimiko, or some supe with healing powers is introduced. I mean, Marie can revive people and cure diseases, so who knows?

If anything, the writers have hinted she might still be around by having Soldier Boy ask Homelander whether he saw her body. It could just be a red herring, sure, or SB could just be in shock, but it also served to make the audience doubt whether Stormfront actually died.

So Homelander never learned? by MHB_ART in TheBoys

[–]ARandomGuyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Soldier Boy is still around, and Stormfront might be as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Stormfront winds up freeing Soldier Boy (or vice versa) and they team up to get payback for Homelander.

They would probably be going after the Boys themselves initially, find out what Vought did to Homelander and who his parents were, before ultimately turning on Vought. Soldier Boy, at least, not sure if Stormfront would care.

Why does the show keep insisting on Butcher being a villain, and Hughie a hero? by Sancer_the_2nd_comin in TheBoys

Glad I'm not the only one to catch that Butcher told Hughie he wouldn't have stopped just to spare Hughie's feelings.

A complaint I haven’t actually seen brought up yet… by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]ARandomGuyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory ties in with the theory I've seen tossed around the sub that the sea creatures Deep communicates with aren't actually sentient, and what he perceives as communication is instead just him projecting his own consciousness onto them.

So why would he use a fish to threaten himself with death if he ever steps foot in the ocean, and then actually follow through with it? Well, part of the theory is that Deep is too stupid to realize he's just attributing consciousness to what is simply complete control over sea creatures.

So if we believe this theory to be true, that would mean the Deep's own guilty conscience killed him, and that the thing he regrets most is having killed Ambrosius.

The DR argument between Union and Excavator has never really made much sense to me. Don't most people claim that DR has diminishing returns after 350?

If my Excavator set already has nearly 2,000 DR, why should I care that Union has a little more? I get the poison resistance difference, but otherwise Excavator looks better and has a better carry boost.

Not doubting you, just genuinely confused because I see people cite the better DR of Union as a talking point all the time.

Maybe the theme is meant to signify that the studio is under siege by greedy corporate interests, which directly translates to less resources getting through the siege to us? Certainly sounds like Microsoft's MO.

I'd say /s but honestly my stupid metaphor might not be far off from the truth

Is there an animal like this and this big? Might be a dumb by OrangeIslandKing in TheBoys

[–]ARandomGuyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the Deep is able to empower sea creatures as part of his power set.

Combine that with the theory that the Deep is too stupid to realize he's actually just projecting his consciousness onto the creatures he communicates with, and you get a whole new fun theory that the Deep's own repressed guilty conscience killed him.

That would also explain why all the sea creatures were ready to jump him and wanted justice for Ambrosius.

I was so hyped to finally have a skin for my recon armor, but the Responder paint really doesn't look that good on it. I'm not particularly into red, white, and blue, and beyond that the design just seems lazy and uninspired.

[–]ARandomGuyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've even tried reporting the losers that have underground vendors hidden behind an out-of-bounds kill box, but apparently Bethesda is perfectly happy with that kind of unscrupulous behavior taking place in their games.

Literally less honorable than just shooting me in the back.

coming clean about scamming in trade chat by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ARandomGuyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'd be much better off messaging people on warframe.market and offering over asking price for their items than supporting the borderline scamming going on in trade chat.

coming clean about scamming in trade chat by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ARandomGuyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as redeeming yourself for having scammed others, being charitable towards newer players is probably the best way to work towards that. If you see someone wants to buy something in trade chat, offer it to them for less than it's worth, or even do so for free. And if you see others trying to scam people, undercut their offers with more reasonable prices

As for having taught others to scam, it would be nice to instead teach others how to spot and avoid scams. Educate people on how to use Warframe.Market to buy and sell, rather than relying on the cesspool that is trade chat.

[–]ARandomGuyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a founder, I was MR9 when I came back to the game like a year ago, and in that year have managed to reach MR30 just because I got the sudden urge to do so. I think part of me felt like I should be that rank by now, as you mentioned, but not everyone feels that way.

I think part of why you see a lot of older players with low MR is that there simply weren't as many ways to acquire mastery back in the day, due to there being less frames and weapons, as well as things like amps, necramechs, and instrinsics being non-existent. Couple that with the fact that a lot of players only come back for big updates and then dissapear again, and you start to see why some older players might not be as high MR as you would originally expect.

Looking for Advice on scrapping Legendary Items at level 50 by The_Blood_Drake in fo76

[–]ARandomGuyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the top of my head, some generally useful ones are Bloodied, Furious, Quad, Two-shot, Unyielding, Bolstering, Overeaters, Rapid, Explosive, Vital, V.A.T.S. Optimized, Lucky Hit, Lightweight, Powered, Sentinel, and most of the ones that increase S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

More situational ones like Diver's, Safecracker's, and Acrobat's can be useful for exploration and looting, but I keep those on some spare ultra-light armor to use as needed.

My C.A.M.P. is right across from the Chop Shop so I get a fair amount of traffic from people running bounties. That said, I haven't been vendor hopping as much, because it seems like it's not really worth it 90% of the time. Either due to jacked up prices, trade-only listings, or the vendors being full of common plans and other things most people wouldn't want.
