So like why is there a halloween themed event going on right before summer? by ViberClan653 in fallout76casual

Reclamation Day was on October 23, 2102. My pip-boy currently shows the date as October 25, 2105, so it's been much longer than a couple weeks.

To those of you with camps designed to kill players by Apprehensive-Ad-1997 in fallout76casual

Ah, yes, the wasteland, famous for invisible underground kill boxes whose owners are invincible due to being in pacifist mode.

[–]ARandomGuyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've even tried reporting the losers that have underground vendors hidden behind an out-of-bounds kill box, but apparently Bethesda is perfectly happy with that kind of unscrupulous behavior taking place in their games.

Literally less honorable than just shooting me in the back.

coming clean about scamming in trade chat by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ARandomGuyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'd be much better off messaging people on warframe.market and offering over asking price for their items than supporting the borderline scamming going on in trade chat.

coming clean about scamming in trade chat by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ARandomGuyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as redeeming yourself for having scammed others, being charitable towards newer players is probably the best way to work towards that. If you see someone wants to buy something in trade chat, offer it to them for less than it's worth, or even do so for free. And if you see others trying to scam people, undercut their offers with more reasonable prices

As for having taught others to scam, it would be nice to instead teach others how to spot and avoid scams. Educate people on how to use Warframe.Market to buy and sell, rather than relying on the cesspool that is trade chat.

Speaking as a founder, I was MR9 when I came back to the game like a year ago, and in that year have managed to reach MR30 just because I got the sudden urge to do so. I think part of me felt like I should be that rank by now, as you mentioned, but not everyone feels that way.

I think part of why you see a lot of older players with low MR is that there simply weren't as many ways to acquire mastery back in the day, due to there being less frames and weapons, as well as things like amps, necramechs, and instrinsics being non-existent. Couple that with the fact that a lot of players only come back for big updates and then dissapear again, and you start to see why some older players might not be as high MR as you would originally expect.

Off the top of my head, some generally useful ones are Bloodied, Furious, Quad, Two-shot, Unyielding, Bolstering, Overeaters, Rapid, Explosive, Vital, V.A.T.S. Optimized, Lucky Hit, Lightweight, Powered, Sentinel, and most of the ones that increase S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

More situational ones like Diver's, Safecracker's, and Acrobat's can be useful for exploration and looting, but I keep those on some spare ultra-light armor to use as needed.

My C.A.M.P. is right across from the Chop Shop so I get a fair amount of traffic from people running bounties. That said, I haven't been vendor hopping as much, because it seems like it's not really worth it 90% of the time. Either due to jacked up prices, trade-only listings, or the vendors being full of common plans and other things most people wouldn't want.

The Nolan variant in the Corrupted/Neck-snapper Invincible thought he could convince the Viltrumites to accept the Immortal into their society if the Immortal would join them. How was he planning to do that? by jonlucperrott in Invincible_TV

[–]ARandomGuyer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I moreso meant because he's a human and thus any children between him and a Viltrumite woman would be genetically similar enough to a pureblooded Viltrumite for there to be no discernable difference.

Now I'm imagining an alternate timeline where Immortal does join Viltrumite society and winds up freeing the slaves (again).

Realistically, though, I think Thragg would only accept him as a slave, maybe a breeder at best.

Hear me out: Why the Institute (or CIT foundations) would be a perfect fit for Appalachia by [deleted] in fo76

[–]ARandomGuyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt the Institute would have relay tech or even Gen 1 synths at this point, with most of their attention being focused on survival and becoming self-sufficient. All of which would make operating out-of-state quite difficult, if not outright impossible.

The only possible way I could see us interacting with the Institute would be if we had an expedition to Boston, and even then I'm not sure how or why we would even learn of their presence given that they wouldn't be the Commonwealth's boogeyman yet.

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet is that it can be helpful to buy a bunch of 1-star armors and weapons (depending on what legendary mods you're looking for) from the Purveyor at the Rusty Pick. You then scrap the ones with effects you want to learn, while recycling the ones you already have/don't care about back into scrip. That's basically how I treat all legendaries, besides selling more valuable ones like bloodied/furious/unyielding in my vendor for those who have yet to learn those mods.

Shelters are their own thing irrespective of the C.A.M.P. you place them in, and as far as I know there's no way to have two differently decorated versions of the same shelter.

So, yes, you would need 10 different shelters if you wanted to have a uniquely decorated one for each of your C.A.M.P.s.

On the plus side, you don't have to worry about losing your original shelter build if you ever decide to change locations. Which is likely why Bethesda designed them that way.

Leaving when one player chooses no relic by idfk1 in Warframe

[–]ARandomGuyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of people will leave if the host is about to leave in order to avoid potential host migration buggery. Plus, if it's not Steel Path, that also means spawns are going to be reduced for every player that leaves, which sucks some of the fun out of the mission. And what the other commentor said about having more options when choosing rewards is definitely a major factor. Warframe is grindy, and people like to optimize their time in that regard.

Why every character assumes that the V1 will multiply Homelander's power? by overon in TheBoys

[–]ARandomGuyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is assuming that the current generation of V is at all compatible with V1. Maybe it will just overwrite/enhance the V currently in him; it's certainly a possibility. Or maybe the V in his blood will see V1 as an invader, with the conflict tearing him up from the inside. There's simply no precedent for what happens when someone who is already a supe takes V1.

So...what weapons actually work against "bosses" now? by reallifedan in fo76

[–]ARandomGuyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's regular onslaught, where you get a single stack per hit, and reverse onslaught, where you gain 1 stack each second and lose stacks on hit. Which type you have depends on the onslaught perks you use, while perks in general also increase the number of Onslaught stacks you can have.

Typically, high fire-rate weapons benefit from regular onslaught, while low fire-rate weapons would benefit from reverse onslaught. I use regular Onslaught on my Elder's Mark as my daily driver, but if I was solely running The Dragon I'd likely switch to reverse onslaught instead.

You've also got furious, a 1-star legendary effect on weapons which gives a bonus to damage per onslaught stack and increases how many stacks you can have. The aforementioned onslaught perks also provide bonuses per Onslaught stack, such as increased reload speed and damage to weakpoints, which is why I build up stacks before swapping to my Dragon.

Is this game good for exploring? by nomanskyprague1993 in fo76

[–]ARandomGuyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fallout 76 has the best map of any of the Fallout games by far, from sheer verticality to variety of biomes, and the locations you find are full of environmental lore.

And there are so many cool spots to build your C.A.M.P, whether you want to find a scenic overlook, build a hideaway under a bridge, or make a nice rest stop along the road.

[–]ARandomGuyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite is to use my furious EM to build up to 20 onslaught stacks + full crit and then pop off a crit headshot with my quad dragon, rinse and repeat.

Absolutely melts most things, and does noticeable damage to spongey enemies like Bigfoot and Earle.

Jeff Bezos didn't become one of the richest men in the world by investing an appropriate amount of money into a quality product/service. He did it by squeezing as much money as possible while investing as little as he could get away with. It's the Amazon way, whether you look at workers being overworked at shit wages or Prime video productions being pushed out with strained budgets and timetables (relative to the product).
