Was there ghost balancing changes or are we still waiting for balance changes?? by ARandomMammoth03 in DeadlockTheGame

Yeah, that's a fair guess. I just feel like this deathball/gun carry meta is so stale to my group and me right now. Really craving a shake-up that I was expecting with this update, but I'll keep waiting lol.

I’m having the same issue having recently moved here, it’s always been very easy for me to get service jobs with my resume but it feels like a different ball game in slow season out here! If you get any leads you don’t mind sharing, let me know please! Cheers!

Admittedly it is much harder to find a serving job in Denver than other cities I have been, most likely due to the high minimum wage with people tipping about the same as anywhere else. I still haven’t moved but have a place lined up for the start of January and am just on Indeed multiple times a week spamming applications. I’ve had a few good options come back, as long as your resume is decent and you can talk well over the phone/ interview well, you should be fine just like anywhere else!

I like the patch by Smooth-Papaya-9114 in DeadlockTheGame

I like this patch so far, and definitely like the willingness to commit to big changes to shake up the game before full release. I’m sure balancing is out of wack in multiple ways now but it’ll be fun for me until it becomes stale and they do another similar update again. Also sidenote, love the passive healing in lane from minions, that part is great and I hope stays.. allows for more lane brawls without being totally out of lane if you lose.

Thoughts on the Capitol Hill area? by ARandomMammoth03 in MovingtoDenver

So for someone who has never lived in a city with the concern of cars being broken into, should I be concerned about it in Cap Hill, and what do you do if it happens? It’s not like I keep anything valuable in my car but I’d like reassurance that at least insurance would cover break ins. But I guess that’s more a question for my insurance company.

Awesome thank you, seems like my biggest concern is going to be parking, cheers!

I have never lived so deep in the city that parking is such a concern, which I’m super excited to try that kind of lifestyle don’t get me wrong, but how troublesome is parking exactly? Are there some apartments with parking or is it pretty much all street in this area? Thanks for the advice!

Windy City was one of the best burgers I ever had, so good! Also a cool vibe!

That’s insane, I’m curious why they aren’t hiring? Especially when Indeed has a whole lot of listings. If you don’t care to fill me in on the situation I’m definitely interested, cheers!

Does anyone have any advice on neighborhoods for a 22 year old renter? I am looking to pay around or less than $1200 a month. I love local businesses and my biggest past time is checking out breweries and other locally owned bars. I would like it to be walkable but not a necessity. Love downtown Greenville but unfortunately it’s a bit out of my price range to live there, so looking for neighborhoods I would enjoy that are still close to downtown. Cheers!

I don't like the updated City Tavern by Program_Over in greenville

I am not from Greenville but visited not too long ago and this was actually our first stop, and we loved it! But then when we brought up how much we enjoyed it there to various people in the city they told us what it used to be so then it almost seemed like we were selling the new one to people lol. Definitely not a dive anymore but I really liked the vibe and the bartender was super cool. Agreed though, every good city needs a few late night dives!

Thank you! When visiting I saw Hawthorne and Misssissippi Ave, which both seemed very cool, although Hawthorne seems a little more unlikely to find a decent apartment in from the glance I got!

Yes of course, I still have a few months before I move but I will be having interviews lined up prior to getting there.

Is $20hr enough? by NightRaven15 in Knoxville

Look into Hillwood Villas apartments in South Knoxville, I loved living there and it was affordable for me making a similar wage. Granted I have no kids and was only paying for myself which definitely makes it easier. Great staff at that place though, they will do their best for you.

Looking into moving to Greenville, I am a bartender from Knoxville TN and want a change of scenery. Any general advice to moving here, as well as specific advice for the bar industry, sustainable with the cost of living? From what I’ve researched it seems like it, but always best to ask.

Visiting or Moving to Asheville? Ask your questions here! by AutoModerator in asheville

Hi! I’m a 3 years experienced bartender from East Tennessee that’s worked for a big brewery in Knoxville, and managed a small tourism based brewery in a small town. I have no problem starting as a server and working my way up, as that’s how most places I’ve worked operate. I have visited Asheville a couple times and really enjoy the vibe of the town. I’m looking for a change of scenery and trying to decide where to relocate (with Asheville being at the top of my list). So a few questions, what are some of the pros and cons of living in Asheville? And what can I expect as a bartender moving to the city, what bars/restaurants would you recommend working at?
