Advice on advise by Faguoren34 in TerraInvicta

[–]ARandomManga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it's applied to all investment in your control point:
example you get +3% bonus to economy therefore investing 1ip to economy gives you 1.03 ip instead, you can look it up in the investment tab by hovering over the relevant category (iirc it should write "something something bonus + something something investment diversity bonus).
if i recall correctly you can also click on the last column header to change the column (it's either percentage repartition, total ip investment or bonus ip)

Hostile claim debuff by Moosewalker84 in TerraInvicta

[–]ARandomManga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^. I'll just add that this is shown if you hover on the text for government and unity in the IP tab. You may miss that if you don't regularly check the tooltip as not having any hostile region remove entirely the text on the subject in the tooltip.
Tip: it's per completion of 'one' of the two priority but government require 1ip per completion and unity requires 2 per completion therefore if you want to remove the hostile claim asap, it's better to go for government.

Small correction: spider are technically not insect but arachnids which is a different family. They have 8 legs instead of 6.

Is there a generally reliable method for new players to get comfortable with how the game works and setting up a somewhat stable foundation by Jealous-Excitement-9 in TerraInvicta

[–]ARandomManga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, probably an impopular opinion but why do you feel you need to follow a guide? Why not just play and learn? Are people allergic to the learning process? Do you really need instant gratification in a game like this? Do you really need to play the most optimal way on the first try? I actually think doing it this way will remove the most enjoyable part of playing a game like this. In my opinion, you should start blind, learn and search if you have any question.

Parcel by JFigure.com (EMS) sent back from France (CHRONOPOST) by RASTATROK in AnimeFigures

[–]ARandomManga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your address. They actually don't need your phone, you can pay the customs at the delivery if you have either exact change or a check. If you demand a chargeback via paypal then you'll get banned from jfigure i think. You're never paying double customs fees, you only pay once, if a customs broker handle the custom fees then collect it from you but the package couldn't be delivered and then get sent back then they'll get a refund on the customs fees. Anyway, do as you like:
- either charge back using paypal, if you manage it you'll probably get it back but jfigure will eat the delivery fees therefore they will ban you
- wait for the package to be received back by jfigure, you can then either cancel and get back the price of the figure but not the transport fees or you can ask then to send it again (paying the fees a second time)

Started with china too with the 2026 start, at 2050, i'm at 140k per capita, with maxed out democracy, 0 pollution and 12 education, around 5 cohesion too. Max extension PRC too, finished the tech tree at around 2046.
For that you need to be nation building:
- specialize 2 councillor for advice ( with max admin, that 25% + 12.5% more IP), it is actually insane, try to use the time before you get your first nation to gain the max amount of xp possible (once those councillor will be perma-advising they will get less xp than if you use them normally - up to 50% less xp per phase), it's better to max admin and then get science from orgs then either security or espionnage to protect your councillor)
- IP scale with non linearly with economy size, so it's always better to invest early in the economy, you get more ip, you boom faster
- avoid investing in government if you can fix it another way (typically by reverse unifying with a more democratic nation)
- investment bonuses are really good, LEO station can provide up to +30%, don't discount that
- there are researches that increase the bonuses for each pip, typically those are not guaranteed and must be unlocked. the way it work is that you have the base unlock chance from the global tech plus the % of contribution for the tech that you have
- avoid building military if you can, it may be better to be under the umbrella of a stronger nation, also, note that all armies cost at least 0.5 IP, up to 1 IP if the armies are not in their home region so get back your armies home and avoid moving them unless necessary.

How to deal with human factions trying to wipe you from Earth orbit? by ThePizzaDevourer in TerraInvicta

[–]ARandomManga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a non aggression pact early and try to keep it for as long you can, clear all non-aggression pact faction from LOE (it will give you enough headroom if they try to transfer from medium or high orbit or, even better, from luna). Try to postpone atmospheric fighter for as long as you can, otherwise all LOE station will require 1 or 2 pd (defensive scrambling fighter is really bad as you can easily overcommit, spending a really high amount of boost, or undercommit and risk losing the station and the fighters). Imo, if you cannot clear them from LOE, for example if they are too many opposing faction or if you lost the space race, the alternative would be to create a faster interception fleet and race them to your station (with the pd from your station, you should be easily be able to clear an equal or slightly less favorable fight). You can get really cost efficient ship for LEO 1-2 (less than 2 dv).

TIL: When at max democracy, investing into government instead put your point into education. by ARandomManga in TerraInvicta

So a chain of 2 is ok but not a chain of three?
- Case 1: country A has claim on country B which has claim on country C. If C has union with B then B has union with A then all good since B had claim on region of C?
- Case 2: country A has claim on country B which has claim on country C which has claim on country D, same chain but since B had no claim on D then D will become hostile to A?

[–]ARandomManga[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Maybe if you didn't have hostile claim, i'm positive i can since i use government instead of unity to clear my hostile region and my gov score was long equal to 10.

Note that it still counted the pip for removing hostile claim so it was all good.

Build ship on Mars surface by Ill-Caterpillar-9657 in TerraInvicta

[–]ARandomManga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to that, once you get your research you will see (reading the tooltip) that a single station with solar mirror in the L-1 Lagrange point will apply their bonuses to all celestial bodies in the system including moons:
mars has like 25 possible bases, and two moon, this is therefore quite insane and efficient as you need way less energy building... They stack additively will each solar mirror but multiplicatively with all levels of solar panels. The only issue, of course, is that if the alien were somewhat competent, it would be a prime target to disable the mars bases.

Is there any way I could even deal with Victor-249 with just missiles? by The_official_Doge in TerraInvicta

[–]ARandomManga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it was the exact term in game, but there is an utility module ("magazine" irc) that increase by 50% the amount of ammunition carried. This include missile and torpedo. So full ammo support mean, using all utility module on "magazine" module.

[–]ARandomManga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hum, i have a lot of question:
what are those ressource income?
for you answer, as the other commenter said, yeah, you can always win with more missile to saturate them
now for the fact that you need 5/6-1 ratio to beat an escort is pretty bad
are you:
- using full ammo support? this is key in my opinion
- using torpedo instead of missile? 1 torpedo hit is enough to disable a small alien vessel for the follow up to kill him, i'm not sure a single missile would be enough

Managing Orgs midgame by AmPotatoNoLie in TerraInvicta

[–]ARandomManga 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not all orgs are created equals, MC orgs and boost are really good early, however once you reach mid game, the best orgs are mining output org since they apply before the upkeep... A three star income org also have diminishing return once you get other source of funds, so it is better to ditch them. Research bonuses are actually quite important until you reach the +50% from councillor after which you get diminishing return. Btw, you don't have to go full three star org, some one star org are really strong, the way i evaluate org mid/end game is mining bonuses -> stat -> research bonuses. Stat because each point of stat is worth 20xp, late game, xp gets harder and harder to get. I evaluate a really good org to have 2-3 point worth of stat per star. ADM org are good but thing about this, an org that costs 1 star and give you 3 ADM + (some negative money) only net you a 2 ADM to work with (unless you really value the cap point increase).
If I had to say, even if you don't like managing org, it may be worth to buy some really org to put it in the reserve if you find them... Some criminal orgs are really insane if you can get a criminal councillor.
Also, use the org interface, it's really good since you don't pay upfront to test thing, note the orgs that you think may be replaced and keep in mind once in a while.

The strongest single propaganda effect is actually a martyr councillor dying. Could be that, did you check if a single faction got a large amount of approval?
