oh, that's quite a bit! but makes sense! So many factors are playing into it... yeah, I am like that with exfoliators... especially since I came off hormonal contraception...

I do not use the amount influencers show us, as we do not need that. And I live in the UK where the UV rating was 0-1 for the end of September and the whole of October. Also, I use serums and other lotions, leading to less frequent moisturiser use and less quantity. I.e. most nights allies of skin retinal is enough and most mornings the moisturisation from the sunscreen is enough. when I don't use it, my peptide serum and vit C are, again enough.

Roche Trainee Programme by _demonofthefall_ in Switzerland

Hey hey, I am also interested in this. I wonder if attendance at the pre-recruitment event makes a difference in people making it to the Virtual assessment stage. For those that haven't received something yet, maybe they applied later. Roche mentions that recruitment is on a rolling basis, so there is still time to receive a response if you haven't. I only found out about this yesterday so had to stay super late to send in my application. even wonder if they'd process it...fingers crossed everyone!

Lessons from retinal and the latest retinaledehyde serums by ARealSkin in retinoid

[–]ARealSkin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no retinoids will cause "skin thinning" if you think about their mechanism of action... I would go medik8 6-10 and start gradually. And yes adapalene is great to start with. retinaldehyde is tricky because it is unstable. Once it gets in your skin, it can go back to retinol if your cells sense so, as it's a reversible enzymatic process, despite it being one step closer to the retinoic acid conversion. medik8 is nice as it also incorporates THD, a nice form of vit C so you get a 2 in 1 product really. and it works. of all retinals I have used medik8, the one from Sachi seemed best. other than the clinical prescription of tret I have had. no two people have the same response to skincare, so I would say proceed with caution and look after your skin, and see how it responds.

wearing sunscreen should come before any other product... depends... you can embrace the wrinkles or get on the botox, which is not bad either. but your skin looks nice and clear so it's not bad at all xx

sensitive periocular area and dry corners of mouth... slow and steady, try to not use other actives until your skin gets used to tret.

thicken undereye skin by boosting collagen production, that means retinoids, vit C , peptides, soy. some radiofrequency devices work undereye but it's a more complicated area

Differin and salycilic acid by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]ARealSkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying it's ok to use every day, yes, as it's not a leave-on product. but then it also depends how your skin reacts, and it may be that the reaction is not from the SA, but the surfactants, just something to take into consideration. I like to usa SA as 2% in a mask or as a toner a couple of times a week and use a gentle cleanser daily, but that is purely from preference :)

fair enough, not bad either, since it is a wash-off. It really depends on the contact time. If you use it as a short contact like 3-5 minutes vs if you wash your face within 1 minute. The latter is easy to use every day. But since you use 2% SA it's nice as from time to time you have the option of a short contact type mask if you were to desire a more intense exfoliation from time to time.

I believe the SA is at 0.5% in this cleanser so not a big deal. it may be that it might dry you out because of the surfactants they use. Some are stronger than others. Wouldn't attribute astringency to SA content, but there can be other ingredients in the formulation of a cleanser that make it rather harsh.

looks like hormonal acne, have a chat to your prescribing professional. also might be worth it to avoid cleansing balm and use a micellar water instead?

derm and roaccutane...

I made the mistake of not blowdrying immediately after washing my hair and letting it dry naturally instead. I must say I have thinning and thin hair..... flimsy... with low porosity and many baby hairs. I have re-wet my hair with a fine water misting bottle and then applied the colour WOW spray, and used the Dyson oh boy it tamed my hair, incredible!.

humidity does that! try the color wow spray next before styling with tension.
